Aragosta

I visit this restaurant regularly (around once a month) and have always enjoyed it.

The welcoming staff, fresh food and warm atmosphere make this an ideal place to eat with friends or family, large or small parties.

I particularly enjoy the rigatone manzo (pasta tubes with fillet steak in a chilli and tomato sauce. My grandmother/regular dining partner is a veggie and is well catered for, and if something she fancies isn't on the menu they are more than happy to accommodate.

I have always had a good time in this restaurant, and think you would have to try very hard not to!!!

Fantastic restaurant, good service, excellent food. We had a great evening, the owner and staff made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended if you want a good meal.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and never had a bad food or a bad service!!! the fish range is the best u can get fresh and tasty!!! i cant believe people would write bad things about it i used to live in north London and go there once every two weeks i moved out of London and i still go there at least once a month please go there and judge for your self. You can never please everyone. all my friends who recommended have loved it and go regularly

Visited this restaurant last weekend and was disappointed to say the least, I may have visited the wrong restaurant being the very 'suspect' reviews below! The food was okay (it sounds as though the place is only good for take-away pizzas), Had to wait quite some time for food to be presented and I must say, I was disappointed. Perhaps we should have dined on the bread and oil which was served with our meal (which was nice).

Will not go again and would not recommend for a nice evening out, perhaps for a take away pizza!

Absolutely brilliant! From the moment you are welcomed through the door the staff make you feel special all night. The menu is exciting and modern oozing delicious Italian flavours. The service is brilliant and the olives and bread with your wine while you are choosing from the menu is a really nice touch. The atmosphere is fun and everyone always has a great time!!! I especially enjoyed the DJ at Christmas. He got everyone up dancing and partying together, which made the night extra special.

Brilliant, Brilliant Brilliant, this Italian restaurant is second to none. Being in the fast food industry ourselves, we regularly visit at least twice a month and the food has always been wonderful. Our son is twelve and like us has always been very happy with his food, they will prepare him anything he wants even if not on the menu. Do not be put off by bad review we vistied on 2nd of Jan and food, service, drinks were 100%

The new years eve was a great night out for us at the aragosta, The staff were friendly the atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful what more can I say. We will be there next new year at that price you cant go wrong we really enjoyed that night The service was excellent.

Our family Christmas dinner was ruined through chosing Aragosta as our venue. We had eaten here before and, although the service is very slow, the food was quite nice.

However, Christmas was a disasted, we booked our table for 3pm, we had to ask for drinks after being seated for 15minutes, we were 'ordered' to give our starter choice, main meal choice and dessert at the beginning, we told the elderly waiter that we may not want a pudding due to the 4 courses, but were told we had to.

An hour later and we were still waiting for a starter, the solft drinks we ordered were wrong and the waiting staff seemed more interested in a par0ty that was being catered on the other side of the restaurant (was really nosiy) and there was a customer who kept picking up the microphone and was making inaudible noises, it was horrendous.

The pudding was of Little Chef standard, the main meal was (fried) roasted potatoes - it was a mess, we left before our desserts, we just wanted to get awa;y from this awful place.

When I complained to a waiter he;s offer of explanation was "if you was in a bank you would have to wait" Hello! its a bloody restaurant!! not Barclays this was completely unacceptable, perhaps if the short-staffed restaurant staff hadn't been dancing around with the party guests we may have had better service.

Would not recommend this restaurant to friends and will definitely not be going there again.

Staff were rude, unapologetic, unprofessional (they gave us someone elses bill in the end) and slow, if i were queing in a bank for service, i would certainly take my money elsewhere, which is what I and friends will do.

I have visited Aragosta several times with my partner. The first visit was just an accidental discovery but one that we were very plesaed with. The food is exceptional and the wine list is divine. Following on from that visit we are always treated as regulars, although we may only visit once a month - the staff make us feel truly valued. We have eaten variants of the menu there and have always been best pleased. The reviewer who states that all the reviews are misled is incorrect. All I can suggest is that the staff here are extremely polite and manage a restaurant as it should be - allowing people to eat their food at their own pace. This restaurant is fabulous and plesae do not be misled by one negative review.
