The Grill Bar & Restaurant

I went to the Grill Bar & Restaurant with two friends early this week. I reserved the table over the phone a few days before but when we turned up they somehow knew nothing about it.
We sat down and the waiter/manager handed us the wine list and told us what was on the menu. The restaurant was really cold and when we asked the waitress if the heating could be put on she simply said 'no'. We ordered some drinks and after 30 minutes our starters came. They were ok but not great. The restaurant was fairly empty and the waitresses looked like they didn't know what they were doing. Our main meal came, which was a mixed grill. The meat and chicken was really over cooked and tasteless. the food was not even hot - only warm. We asked the waiter/manager for some chilli sauce and expected him to put a bottle/ bowl of the chilli sauce on the table. But he only put a teaspoon of the sauce on each of our plates and I had to ask him to put some more on mine.
After dinner we waited to be handed the dessert menu but we had to actually call the waiter and ask for one. Everytime we tried to call a waiter or waitress they would look at us then look away and serve another table or stand by the bar. We called the waitress and ordered 2 cappucino's and a cup of tea, but she didn't really understand what the order was. We saw her tell the waiter/manager and he had to come and take our order again.
After having not enjoyed our tea and capucinno's we asked for the bill and it came up to £56.00. We all agreed not to leave a tip as we were unimpressed with the overall experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone and would certainly not be going there again.

I went here recently on a Thursday evening and wasnt suprised to find it completely empty - whenever i drive past it is always empty, i know this isnt a good sign but my friend and i wanted to try some turkish food but didnt want to go too far away so we thought, why not - the restaurant has been there as long as i can remember, so it cant be that bad?
The surroundings were nice, a lot of pictures on the wall of carribean beaches which was confusing and the table was sticky.
The waiter brought me warm coke and bread with hard butter cut into squares on a plate. I noticed the plate was dirty and had black marks on it....we decided to not have any butter!
for starter we ordered a baked mushroom and what came 2 minutes later (precisely 2 mins - clearly microwaved food) was a half cooked mushroom with cheese melted on the top with orange oil all over it. It tasted too salty and the oil made it too greasy to eat.
I was thinking of having a turkish dish since we went here especially for that purpose but after the bread and starter i decided to play safe just incase.
The main i had steak and chips, this was cooked very well to my liking and the chips were nice but once again the whole plate was covered in orange oil (with a few stains).
The bill came to £40, my friend had the same starter (she didnt eat it either) and a mixed grill for main. The mixed grill was small pieces of chargrlled meat which looked and tasted overcooked with a small mountain of hard rice, she ended up sharing my chips.
I dont know if they did desserts, to be honest i didnt want to stay and find out.
Their turkish food is probably great but i wont be going back to find out.
The dirty plates and sticky table put me off and i wouldnt reccomend it to anyone - i can understand why it is always empty when passing.
