Love it - been many times. Absolutely adore the chicken pie.. delicious and best comfort food ever. It occasionally gets a bit smoky - kitchen could do with a better exhaust fan.
Rosa's rocks!

Sound
Good honest food, realistic price (well, everything in London has a price)
Very attentive service & an atmosphere to relax in
The Pie is good food, served with fresh greens
Think cafe & then be impressed

We had a really enjoyable experience last week here. From the service, atmosphere and food. I'm only writing because of the revue below from Katie, and being a resident of Notting Hill!
There were four of us and two of us had the dishes she mentioned, which is why I'm suprised with her comments. I had the chicken pie, which was enormous. Why assme that the pie comes with chips?
My wife had the seabass en pappillote, which came with leeks and fennel and potatoes (vegetables I think) which was served in the classic French way, in a foil bag. This is 'en pappillot'.
Price wise, I think £35 a head is reasonable for a small place and have been charged a lot more in other big places where the food isn't nearly as good.
My other friends had the tiger prawns and lobster which they said were excellent.

A truly great local restaurant. From the quality of food to the service, from the menu to the decor.
It's so good to see a small place like Rosa's keep knocking out simple but fantastic food after four years or so. I see so many hyped up places come and go within a year or so- or until their P.R budget has run out- it's refreshing to know that small restaurants can still make it!
Well done guys and keep it up!

We went here after reading the great review in the Evening standard, with high expectations and were not let down. A stylish interior with a buzzing atmosphere full of locals, which is getting rarer in an area renowned for eurotrash and bankers, the food was just what you'd want. Not too expensive or complicated with a smallish but competant wine list. The service was quick, but most importantly friendly, without being over the top. They were extremely busy when I was there, but that only added to the atmosphere.
The food for all four of us was delicious ( starters and mains). I recommend the lamb. My wife had an excellent seabass. price worked out around £35 each with a couple of bottles of wine and including service.
Thouroughly recomend you go there!

I failed to see why this is such a popular restaurant in the area.
Whilst the decor was very cosy and relaxed the food was well overpriced.
The lemon tagliatelle was tasteless and had but a very very small amount of lobster (which tasted of nothing). The lamb looked good but again tasteless.
On top of that, the service was slow (not on the drinks mind you).
A disappointing evening indeed.

great little restaurant, with simple well cooked food at reasonable prices. I would recommend the tiger prawns and lamb chops, whilst the desserts are all knock out!

Fun simple decor that lends to a relaxed atmosphere, cheerful and attentive staff, but unfortunately the food falls short. The entres and mains sounded very good on the menu, but when delivered failed to meet our expectations. The sea bass with puy lentils tasted pretty good but was served luke warm as if it had been sitting too long and the lobster taglietelle looked great, but the lobster must have been the frozen sort as it was chewy and tasteless. We were hoping to find a new place to add to our list of good local restaurants, but I I don't think we will be going back.

never been here before but loved it. We started with some chilli squid and my companion had chicken liver pate. Both were excellent. For a main course, we ordered a lobster and a chicken and leek pie- even better. Reasonably priced and good servicein a great location. top marks from me.
P.S to the person complaining about paying £60 for two courses- your group must have drunk a lot and split the bill, as nothing on their menu even remotely comes to £60. You can't hold them responsible!!
