Rosa's Dining Room

12/14 yrs ago we had our full english breakfast there when it was a greasy spoon, lovely then too! then a charming eclectic bistro but now, with chef Mark making it a local destination as his food is up there with many upmarket restaurants although Rosa stays local, simple and charming with nice staff welcoming you as if a regular. still although I recommend it to everyone in Notting Hill, I don't wish to see it too popular or we won't find a table anymore.

I love this place. It's still knocking out great food, including their fabulous pies, whilst their menu has shifted a little bit more French. Their prices have increased slightly, maybe a couple of quid extra for some dishes, but I can't hold it against them. The staff seen pretty happy there without the 'robotness' found in the other new places in the area.
I was part of a large party ( 20+) and the concensus was fantastic!

Great little place this. Not sure what the last reviewer was banging on about!
We found it a charming little neighbourhood restaurant with friendly staff and simple food cooked well. have been coming here for a few years now and although the menu doesn't change that much, the food is executed consistantly well.
I note that someone who works there has commented on the last review and they are quite correct about how misleading the reviewer was. Rosa's is better off without people like them!!

I have just visited Rosas over the weekend and agree entirely with previous review.
The restaurant, despite being told they could squeeze us for a 8pm booking was half empty.
The loos had no toilet toll or spare around and no hand towels and were not very clean. They were obviously never checked all night.
The service was reasonably efficient but not warm.
The food was edible but not special. My gazpacho was tasty but no croutons, bread or the usual toppings were offered.
The food was very expensive up to £25 for sirloin steak. My pie which was average was about £14.
I would not return or recommend it to friends.

I thought Rosa's was very poor. It felt dirty (the toilets are awful). The food was average at best and overpriced, although I acknowledge it is an expensive area. Having said that, this is all the more reason to expect more.
