Thatched House

This pub was in the doldrums for a long time until the new management took over. Recent improvements include the hidden garden being done up (it's now a delight with fairy lights, fresh herbs growing in pots etc) a monthly farmers' market and a sensible policy regarding children in the pub that a lot of other establishments could learn from (they must be seated and undisruptive, and no kids after 8pm). The food is fresh, reliable and beautifully cooked. It has become what a good local pub should be and we go all the time now.
