The Well

I had my 30th birthday party in the downstairs bar at The Well last Saturday (16th Jan, 2010) at it was a huge success - exactly what I was looking for. The staff there were so lovely and helpful and it made a massive difference to my night. Every one of my friends and family commented on how nice the venue was and those who had food said it was great. I highly recommend The Well as a venue - we brought our own ipod and it was really easily plugged in to the main speakers so we got to have a dance too! All in all, as I said, just what I wanted.

A group from my office had its annual lunch at The Well in 2008 and I liked it so much that I arranged for the 2009 lunch to be at The Well. I'd be happy to go back again. I particularly liked the fish (pan fried hake) and was pleased to find a good Rhone on the wine list, which isn't always the case.

The Well is a fantastic venue for a private party. I hosted a Christmas drinks party here for 60 people and a good time was had by all.

The private room downstairs has a great vibe and is perfectly laid out, with cosy pockets of seating round the sides and a central area for mingling. It has its own bar and even a fishtank.

The staff were incredibly helpful and made the whole event seem effortless. Great canapes from the kitchen and well-refreshed glasses prompted effusive thank yous from my guests the following morning.

I would heartily recommend this venue for anyone looking to host a small to medium sized private party.

We started our Christmas night out with a meal at the Well last week and it was fab!

The staff were attentive and very patient with us as we were waiting for people to arrive.

The food was great as was the wine.

We would all eat at there again and have been recommending it to others.

I have just held a party downstairs at The Well, in Farringdon.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a private party. From the outset, the events team/staff were very professional, clearly very experienced at organising events. I felt confident in the run-up to the event that everything was being catered for, from the drinks and canapes to the timings and space itself.

On the day, the staff were friendly and professional. The venue itself was welcoming and attractive and is a good size for a party of around 60/70 people.

The canapes were also a great success- they are a decent size and there is a good selection to choose from. The wine list is also extensive with a range of options available.

Party organiser Nadine was marvellous and very knowledgable.

Barman (Diego) and hostess (Susie) were both outstanding - I couldn't have asked for my obliging, flexible and willing support!

Food was delightful and nicely presented. Cocktails were good too - that little bit different.

Venue is perfect for private party!

Had a farewell party downstairs at The Well at the beginning of October. It was the perfect place for the amount of people we had and there was enough seating and standing space. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the sound system was good. We had our own DJ's and this worked well downstairs. Would definitely recommend The Well for a private party.

Having eaten at the Well, I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Not living in London, I was overwhelmed with choice! I wanted to find somewhere that was good value for money but not short on quality either. The Well was pleasantly surprising with great quality food, excellent service and a nice relaxing atmosphere without the massive price tag. Something I didn't expect to find in London! On my next trip down there, I'll be sure to pay The Well a visit again. Highly recommend to tourists, or people down there on business as well as actual Londoners alike!!

We recently organised our engagement drinks at The Well. Nadia, the events manager, made planning the night very easy, allowing us to be flexible with the food order and when it was served on the night. Its a really nice bar, with a very cool area downstairs, perfect for a medium-sized group but relaxed and welcoming at the same time. It was very refreshing to find such a great place that doesn't charge you to hire the room, and provides a bar and equipment free of charge for you to plug your music (on ipod) into. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, a great venue and great night.
