Three of us from work went to The Vintage for a meal last night. I have to say the food was fantastic! It is not often that I try new dishes but I had the Talapia starter as recommended by the waiter! It was extremely nice! I will definitely be back here to try out some new dishes very soon! Very friendly and comfortable environment to enjoy fine food with friends!!! Get down there you will not regret it!

Great restaurant, staff, food, value, atmosphere. My wife and i have been going to the Vintage since we moved to Harrow in 2002. Since the refurbishment earlier this year the exterior, interior and atmosphere is even better too! You could try another restaurant and do a lot worse than this...and get ripped off in the process too. The Vintage is the consistently best Indian restaurant I know outside central London, and much better value and choice too.

Visited Vintage this weekend. Have to say that was disappointed with the overall fare. Had high expectations due to the positive reviews however failed to meet expectations. The starters were decent however the main course was very poor. I had colour in my hands after eating the tikka masala.

My family and I went to the Vintage for the first time on Saturday and firstly I would seriously recommend booking a table, I was very glad I did! there were a lot of people trying to get a table which was a good sign. The starters were great, especially the mixed grill, superb, but what really singles this restaurant out is the main courses, absolutely amazing, the lamb and vegetarian dishes especially were fantastic!! and the decor is also very very appealing, its got that old charm with lots of nice wood which was great to see in a local indian. I cant help but say that the review below is just comical, I mean really?? people are trying to operate a business here... all I can say is keep it up!! by far the best Indian restaurant in NW London.

We live in Mill Hill, London and we will only go to The Vintage in Harrow. This Indian restaurant is the very best, we could much easily travel into London to eat but we will only go to The Vintage. The food is fantastic, the staff are first class, extremely polite and kind. We have been going there for nearly 20 years and would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Yesterday we had been to Vintage and will never do so again. Average food and impolite staff spoiled our evening and dinner get together . After settling down with our drinks when we ordered the starters and main course, the lady taking the order , one of the senior staff, informed us that it is too "small" an order , saying , we expect customers to order more so that the bill per head is at least 12 bucks!!! There were 8 of us and we had ordered 8 drinks , 3 main dishes , 3 starters and plenty of Nan's but I guess what was expected is we add up the food and drinks bill and calculate in our heads if we had indeed ordered enough to contribute 12 bucks each to the restaurants' kitty!!!
That was not the end. When the starters arrived without any chutneys or sauce accompaniments and my husband asked the staff if they had any ketchup , one of the senior staff yelled at him and said "This is an Indian restaurant , we do not serve ketchup here"!!!!. Let alone the shocking impoliteness , I am an Indian and all Indians I know , who make and love Onion Bhajji do eat it with with tomato ketchup, if not chutney's!!!! Since we were a big group with elderly people, finding a restaurant and moving to it at that hour was unthinkable so we ignored the poor service and swallowed the average food. Btw, by our order, we had contributed more than 12 bucks per head to their kitty or else who knows we might have been forced to swallow some average starters too!!!!

We love Indian food and this is our firm favourite even if you include "posh" london Indian Restaurants such as the Bombay Brasserie. The Vintage is run by Mr and Mrs Patel who are both firmly involved in the restaurant and are personally there every night supervising both in the kitchen and out front. The best treat is when Mrs P has been cooking! The food is superb as is the service and atmosphere. They are very welcoming of children, and we often go early evening with our whole family - the rest of the time we use the takeaway service which is also wonderful.
