Avoid this place at all costs- the food was a disgrace - the scallops were raw in the middle - the steaks were served (without a steak knife) and tasted as though they had been cooked in burnt oil. The chips were hilarious - burnt and smothered in salt as though to try and hide the taste. When one of our party asked for a new wine glass not only was she given a dirty one but there was still wine in it! . The (I assume) head waiter seemed to think it was appropriate to remove his shoes at the end of the evening and do the remainder of his shift in his stocking feet!
The place is an overpriced joke.

I had my birthday here recently and the staff were delightful and accomodating. The food was fine - for £12.50 it was good value for two courses. However when we went to leave the Manager mucked around with the bill. I was the last to pay and he presented me with a bill for half the total! I said 'that can't be right' and he did some complicated re-calculations and knocked £10 pounds off. Shocked, I payed it and left. So I was left with all of that to pay. And on my birthday!! Lots of other tables were empty probably due to the DLR being closed...

I had one of the worst meals of my life in SE10 fairly recently. Menu looked interesting, food turned out to be amateur at best. It was so bad that we had to go elsewhere for dessert! And it was seriously over-priced. Extremely disappointing and complete waste of money and my Friday evening. I would not go back if someone paid me to.

I don't normally contribute to these sites but the meal I had recently at SE10 was so disappointing that I felt I had to! I ordered the lamb steak and my friend ordered the stuffed trout. My lamb was overcooked - burnt in various places and over chewy throughout. On the other hand my friend's fish turned up raw in the middle. We asked if the kitchen could cook it some more : on her return with the fish the waitress rather rudely argued that, although the chef had cooked it some more, in his opinion it was fine.
At the end of the meal I said that we had been a bit disappointed by the food and asked whether they had had a change of chef, only to be told "well, other diners have complimented us on the food this evening". So much for welcoming feedback and the concept of customer service. I have to say that I really can't reconcile my experience with the reviews below. I can only assume that there has been a change of chef. Frankly, it was one of the worst, most overpriced meals I have ever had, all topped off with rude staff. If you are considering a meal at SE10 - don't do it!

I celebrated my 30th Birthday at SE10 on Saturday and couldn't have been happier with the standard of food, the service or the atmosphere. I booked on the strength of reviews and am very pleased I did. Everyone there loved the place and have all vowed to visit again soon.
Matt and his team ensured that my guests and I had a really fabulous evening and I look forward to SE10 becoming my new 'local'.

I picked this restaurant based on the many good reviews that I have read. We visited on Saturday evening and I was a bit disappointed. Particularly with my main course, the lamb steak. You needed a strong set of gnashers and a lot of stamina to break it down. Saying that, it was very tasty. My starter (sticky chicken) was also a bit dry but tasty. My girlfriend was happy with her starter (goats cheese tart) and her main course (risotto of the day), so it looked like I had just made bad choices. However, I got chatting to a fellow diner, and it appeared that he was having the same experience as me. He felt that his fish had been ‘sitting’ for a while and was dry. He was surprised as he had eaten there many times. He wondered whether there was a new chef. We skipped dessert so no comments there. Finally, the staff were nice, but appeared a bit disorganized and not really in sync with where we were in our meal.

I obviously visited SE10 on the wrong night. Don't get me wrong it is a nice venue with good food (if a little cold, more of that below) but the service was terrible. I was there last night (a Wednesday). Our waitress clearly didn't know the menu as her response to everything we ordered, 6 dishes in total, was met with "The What?" as if we were making up random things that would never appear on any menu and then we had to wait for 45 minutes for my main course to arrive and when it did mine was cold and had clearly been sitting in the kitchen for a while - the steak was cold, fair enough it was rare so wasn't expecting to burn my mouth or anything, but the chips and pepper sauce were luke warm at best and the parsnip can only be discribed as chilled. When I (politely) pointed this out to the waitress, but said that I didn't want it taken back as I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes. The response I got was that no it wasn't cold and the resaon for the wait was that they were really busy (this excuse was used at least 3 times in the evening and at its busiest there were 13 diners include my table), there was no attempt to apologise. This was then followed by my favorite quote of the night when my very generous cheese plate was put in front of me and I asked what each was the response was "To be honest I don't know, it's just a selection of cheese from the kitchen" followed by an very prompt exit before I had chance ask if she could find out for me. I could only laugh. Other than that though the food is good and it is a very cozy place which would make it a great little place if only the service was better, however as there are other restaurants in Greenwich that are comparable on price and quality, which have knowledgable and attentive staff I don't think I will be returning to SE10 in a hurry. Oh yeah just one more thing, the guy on the restaurant asked for a finger bowl to be told by our helpful waitress that they didn't have any. Not that they didn't have fingers bowls, that they did not have bowls full spot. Priceless!

What a FANTASTIC little restaurant! We stopped in for lunch and left fully satisfied and pleased we had spent our money on a quality dining experience.
The lunch menu was simple but extremely tasty and extremely reasonable in price (£14 for 3 courses)! The service was attentive, efficient and warm but not at all overbearing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The ambience and décor was very charming with only minor issues such as the fridge being visible from the dining area and cheap roller blinds hung from the windows the only downsides.

Friday night dinner for 3 at £92, for 3 courses, coffee and a bottle wine and water were seen as good value for money by all of us.
Portions were generous, delicious and will ensure that we return, take friends and write reviews like this one! One of my friends had a freshly created and cooked Goats cheese tart on puffed pastry - we all had a bit and I'll be having one all to myself next time! My only negative was that the topping to the creme brulee was a little tough for my liking, but it is a matter of taste for folks with that dish - I just prefer my one to be a little more delicate and light.
Service was delightful, attentive, not over bearing, friendly and welcoming.
Its a great little gem hidden from the main area of greenwich, which I think adds to its delight. We'll be back for dinner and sunday lunch. And to make good use of their boardgame selection on a lazy day!
