Food is very bad and not fresh, particularly chicken and pineapple curry. Will not come back again.

Went to the Friendly Thai last weekend, and yes, it *was* friendly. But the food, alas, was almost uniformly dire. We had the veggie set menu, but found most of it inedible. The tofu, in particular, was so saturated with oil that I had to squeeze it out on the side of my plate before even attempting to eat it. The starters were fried to oblivion, and only a red curry tasted remotely fresh. A rating of '3' for 'The Scores On The Doors' doesn't inspire confidence, either. Shan't be going back.

This is my second review of Friendly Thai, and I felt I had to write it because the experience was so different this time and we were very disappointed. The food standard seems to have plummeted and we really didn't enjoy our Mussaman curry or stir fry. The flavours were not identifiable and failed to complement each other; there was a big lack of expected Thai flavours: holy basil, lime, lemongrass, and the expected cutting through of each flavour just wasn't there. The pad thai was simply unpleasant! Overall nothing seemed fresh. We are really disappointed because we love Thai food and will not be going back here, instead we'll be walking a little further to other Thai restaurants we know and love.

I have been to this restaurant today. I thought the cuisine is Thai but the food did not taste like Thai at all. It was rather chinese. The taste of food was below average and no salt at all. The portion of rice is not worth of money.

This is a great new restaurant offering authentic, flavoursome Thai food. Do not be fooled by its location on a rather unassuming North London high street; we enjoyed some of the best Thai food we've had in the UK (having visited many restaurants over the years). They have a few slightly more Chinese-style dishes which were fairly ordinary, but the Thai dishes are where you will want to concentrate your efforts- a fantastic soft-shell crab starter, top drawer Pad See Ew and a delightfully balanced dish of stir fried vegetables in red curry paste were the stars of the show! We look forward to our next visit, hopefully on a Monday night when they offer 10% off!

This is a lovely, friendly, clean and authentic Thai Restaurant, we've had a few visits so far and all have been superb. The Lunch Menu delivers excellent value for money and the extensive dinner menu is something i'm going to take delight in working my way through.

Very good indeed! We visited with two friends two weeks ago - the food was absolutely delicious, very genuine Thai cuisine. The service was great - available when you needed - but not in your face, and very friendly. We even managed to accidentally set a menu alight, but we were forgiven! Recommended and we are going again tomorrow.
