We had a WONDERFUL lunch at Velo with three generations out sightseeing. It's a fresh, nourishing meal served quick as a flash. Things we loved: vermicelli honey lemongrass chicken, pho chicken, classic pork spring rolls, banh mi roast pork baguette (suspicious twelve-year-old son ate the whole thing--a rare event!), creme caramel. We plan to go back and try more things--who knew you could meet new dishes so easily? The fruit juices and speciality coffees were unexpected bonuses. The premises sparkle with cleanliness, the staff is adorable and smiling, and the user-friendly 21st-century computerised order system allows control over your meal without having to make "friends" with your server or compete with pushier diners. Please open in Notting Hill!

Pho bo is my favourite dish in the world. For me, it is a near religious experience. It should be delicate, rounded and deep, none of which are present in Velo's version. The broth was over peppery, with a slight msg tang and there us something like szechuan pepper in there, which was numbing. Having said that, I did enjoy it, but it was a massive disappointment.

Pleasant eating atmosphere and clever Argos-like ordering system.

I ordered pho to judge the quality of food at this Vietnamese fast food place. The broth, which is the most important element, is not right (just tastes like stock), the beef is a very poor cut and there just isn't enough noodles. It is fine if you don't know how an authentic pho should taste. But if you do, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Just been to Velo this lunch time and found that the staff was polite and also that the food is great. I ordered the pork bagette, by using the touch screen monitors. My friend also ordered the soup which was plentiful and tasty.

The menu isnt large, so the food is quick to appear.

One last thing if you decide to go there in the next day or two they are giving away the Velo cards with £4.00 on these.

All in all a good place to eat.
