Yesterday had a lovely pasta at this restaurant. If you go I would recommend you to try the spaghetti barca. I was very impressed, clearly well made and incredibly fresh. Although the restaurant can be a bit pricey the food is delicious.

Because reviewers Clare, Jean and David make the same grammar mistake, it may be they are the same person with a bogus identity, who knows? I would not like to think that the restaurant was connected to their uncritical comments. The food is good but pricey, with old-fashioned customs of service charge, veg extra, marked-up wine, squeezed floorspace. In other words, an Italian restaurant of the old school. Don't let this put you off.

three weeks ago myself and three of my friends went to eat at La Barca. We all ordered Spaghetti Barca, it was made beautifully! You could taste the fresh fish and fresh flavour! I would definitely go back again and to anyone else would definitely recommend the Spaghetti Barca... Delicious!

Rude, stuck up, complacent waiters & manager. My sister and I came here as a treat the other night, but we are young (early twenties, look even younger) and unfortunately had come straight off a train so didnt look our best. We werent wearing trainers or anything though, nevertheless the waiters all stared when we walked in. Fine. However our vegetables tasted strange, chemically, as if something had been sprayed in the kitchen and settled on the food. When I told our waiter, he stuck up his nose and repeatedly told us they were fine, 'this is a good restaurant' etc, over and over again, before sending in the manager who tried the food and said 'pah, no its fine'! He didnt offer to replace it, nor take it off the bill or anything, and just carried on talking to us as if we were children. What an awful attitude they have here, I was shocked at how rude they were. Just unacceptable.

I regularly go to this restaurant, but on Friday i was even more pleasantly surprised, I definitely recommend everyone to try the Spaghetti Barca. My two friends and myself enjoyed it immensely, it was succulent and the fish was clearly fresh. I am a regular customer for these reasons.

Myself and two other colleagues went to La Barca, and ordered the spaghetti 'la barca' which was exquisite, full of flavour and the ingredients tasted fresh. I enjoyed myself immensely and would recommend going again.

This is a great place for unpretentious Italian cooking, but it is not cheap - expect to pay at least £45 a head. But the food is authentic. My partner had sardines and penne arabiata and I had calamari and asparagus risotto, and all were excellent. The service is fine - unobtrusive and polite (at least that was our experience). We have been here before and we will come here again.

I popped into La Barca yesterday, and was impressed with the restaurant. I ate spaghetti 'la barca' and found it delightful, you could definitely taste the fresh fish used in the spaghetti. Would definitely go back again.

My sisters have been living in the waterloo area for over 30 years and when we first discovered this restaurant we couldn't believe our luck. When any of our family visit London it is always a must visit restaurant and we have never been dissappointed. The food is always fantastic and the service is always perfect. My sister and I were in London for a few days this week and it was like going home when we go to La Barca. I had the scallops which were amazing and their tiramisu is the best I have tasted. It was the highlight of our trip to London.
