Fantastic, fresh food; generous portions and all very reasonably priced with attentive yet not over-bearing service.
The restaurant is very stylishly decorated and serves modern Italian cuisine.
Highly recommended.

We tried it for the £12.50 set lunch (2 courses but they add 10% service and - if you sit in the half with tablecloths - £1 cover charge). Lovely decor and friendly service. We shared a starter from the set menu which was the usual marinated veg, not bad. I had the scaloppine which came as two good sized pieces (but a little over-cooked) plus a tasteless spaghetti with tomato sauce. The other had an a la carte lasagne, which wasn't great. Portions were OK but unfortunately, it is all rather a bland version of real Italian food - which probably suits the English taste.

This restaurant has recently re-opened under the name of Due Fratelli after complete refurbishment, the restaurant is run by two brothers hence the name.
We have dined there several times after it opened with our friends and each time the service and food has been superb and consistent. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the food is as ever fresh, beautifully cooked, the main course portions are decent size, pasta is freshly made (the best pasta I have tasted in London) legendary service and all very reasonably priced, the average per head is £35.00.
We will be visiting again for sure.

Don't go - but only because this restaurant has CLOSED!
(Nov 2005)
It's a real loss for locals - their fresh morning croissants were some of the best I've had.

This restaurant is really nice. There is a two course savoury menu for £19, or three courses for £21 - again savoury. The courses are split into starters, pastas and risottos and mains. Desserts are additional to this. Rarely can you fit enough for you to need to venture there.
There is a normal meny as well as weekly specials [2 for each of the three courses per week]. The courses are well balanced and lovingly created.
It is true that this place is not doing as much business as it used to, but it really should. It is lovely. If you are in and around Putney, give it a go. Make sure you have three courses and forget about desserts!
