Maybe this restaurant has changed since the last review, but we went for lunch last week and were the only people there.the menu was long on promises ,but very short on delivery.the waiter was not really able to explain the few dishes,as what arrived on the plate did not match his description!we ended up with a "berni inn" experience of prawn cocktail(semi-frozen prawns)with m&s type sauce;grilled steak with gelified bearnaise(cold)accompanied by chips(frozen cut).could it be that with only 2 customers the kitchen staff took the day off and had someone just micro-wave a bunch of stuff?frustrated,we didn't bother with dessert and left.if this is an andrew turner kitchen, then it's time he went back to cookery school at delia smith at least.

This is a rare find indeed - multiple french classics on the menu (I had foie gras, steak, creme brulee) cooked immaculately and worthy of a far higher price tag. The staff were extremely friendly and devoid of any haughtiness. I was surprised to find it nearly empty on a Saturday lunchtime. I highly recommend it.

Great food, and a bargain with the offer that was available through this web site (£18 for 3 courses from the regular menu + champagne). My second visit with friends, and as with the last time there were only 2 other diners in there on a Friday lunchtime. Lovely place, but dining almost solo is a rather antiseptic affair. This place deserves to be much busier. So if you read this, do something about it. Go. You won't regret it.

Excellent food and unbelievable value for money. Service was good and the decor of the restaurant and the Hotel is something to be seen. A real hidden Gem in Kensington and in London. Highly recommended.
