Ate here last night. Service was impeccable from start to finish - friendly, knowledgeable and unintrusive. The food was also excellent and they have got the ambience of both bar and restaurant exactly right. Highly recommended.

Fantastic. We turned up with no booking on a Monday and had a wonderful experience. We had the £45 3 course menu, that was actually 7 courses once you included all the delicious amusee. Very friendly, attentive and unpretentious staff. No need for suit and tie, but it is nice to get a bit dressed up for such beautiful surroundings.
Ours was a romantic evening, but I will be taking my family very soon. Not a 'hotel' restaurant.

We had lunch at the Pearl on Monday May 8th 2006. It was chosen because it was our Pearl (30th) wedding anniversary and we wanted something special. And special it was - the atmosphere was good, the service attentive without being intrusive, and the food excellent - beautifully presented and tasty. The decor was perfect for our occasion. It would have been nice to have made it dinner but we had booked a show for the evening. It was also very good value for money with one notable exception - my wife had seen the special dinner offer of Pink Pearl cocktails and despite us not qualifying for it because of being lunch rather than dinner insisted that was what we should have. I don't know what exactly is in a Pink Pearl but at £13.50 each they are stunningly poor value, particularly when compared to the £26.50 per head 3 course meal. Without them the value for money rating would be at least 9. So we would heartily recommend the Pearl Restaurant - bit steer well clear of the Pink Pearls!

My sister and I were having a weekend away in London as a treat for her engagement. We found the Pearl Bar and Restaurant in the Where magazine, with lots of places to go out and eat in London. From the second you walk in the door you know it will be a meal to remember. The decor is fabulous and the service is wonderful. We were shown to our seats and the waiter introduced himself. We were asked if we would like to try a glass of champagne which they bring round on a trolley for you to choose what ever takes your fancy. We ordered our meal and which bottle of champagne we decided to treat our selves to, and a few minutes later we brought some canapés to try. They were delicious, only small as canapés are but so nice I could have eaten them all night. The food was amazing and all the extra courses you are given in-between are all to the same quality. The breaks between each course were just right as well the portions. The service was exceptional, very friendly and always checking everything was OK. As we do not go out in London that often we asked where to go on from there and were provided with a number of options and reviews. Halfway through the meal, one of the complementary courses was a coffee mouse with lemon foam, I can't remember what it was called but it was out of this world, neither my sister or me had ever tasted anything so nice or Moorish, so much so that when we mentioned how much we liked it we were given another one with our desert. All in all this was a totally perfect meal out, we cold not have asked for more delicious food or fabulous service. The best meal we have ever had and we will definitely be going back soon.
