Taman Gang

Went to Taman gang with a friend and we both absolutely loved it. It is gorgeous inside all orchids and candles, had a really cosy yet stylish feel to it. The service was really excellent our waiter for the evening was so polite and very knowledgable. My friend ordered the black cod and I had the thai curry, both were delicious and we ended up sharing. When we were told that the club would be starting shortly and were welcome to stay we were seated in the bar area. It was so much fun we ended up staying all night! The club is very different to the restaurant but if you fancy partying after dinner then it is perfect. Absolutely love Taman gang and will be back very soon!

We had an amazing meal in TG, all was good food, service, ambience. It was my boyfriend's birthday and as I requested it was candle with dessert. We will be back to TG soon.

not impressed with the resturant at all - very expensive, dreadful service, booked 8 fixed menus - food for 5 arrvied - complained but told no more food available - a real rip off. Food average

aksed to speak to the manager - told he was off for the night

wrote 2 letters of complaint no repy!

At this week at Taman Gang with a group of friends. Taken downstairs and asked to wait for our table with the cocktail menu. All of us ordered drinks from martinis to the signature drink Angel and found the cocktail menu better than the drink as for £10-12 we expected to taste some alcohol in the drink of which maybe there were 3 drops in each. Overall drinks were 3 out of 10.

Food - we were then taken to our table and we had booked the special, when the waiter informed us we could not receive the special as it was now 7:43 (after our drinks) and the last time for the special was 7:30pm. Customer service i would say was 5 out of 10.

we ordered food from the menu with the regular priced items and started off with the fois gras beef gyoza and salt and pepper squid. Squid was overcooked, gyoza were not great at all. Overall i would rate starters at 5 out of 10.

Mains we ordered cod £22.50, asparagus vegetable dish £6.50, pad thai £8.50 and the pumpkin chicken curry £14.50. Overall the mains were 8 out of 10 in taste but really starter sizes as portions would fill one person per dish. Thus you had to order much more food if you wanted to be filled fully.

Thus overall experience i would rate this restaurant 5 out of 10. The atmosphere is very nice so if you want a good atmosphere and don't mind drinks don't have any alcohol for £10 each or food portions are tiny then this is the place to come.

We went to Taman Gang for dinner on Saturday. Starters of Scallop and prawn siew mai and crispy aromatic duck rolls arrived promptly, and the Black Cod, and Sea Bream main courses were both great. The music was pretty subdued for most of the evening and complemented the atmosphere, and with the low lighting and relaxed service the place makes for a nice romantic evening out. Once we'd finished our meal we moved down into the lounge area where we could hang out and order cocktails from the bar until the club started up. The only negative point is that they insisted we pay a tip on top of the 12.5% service charge, so be prepared to end up paying a significant amount over the cost of your meal.

Taman Gang on Park Lane - a wonderful ambience, and fabulous cocktails.

The food at Taman Gang was delicious.. the starters were excellent..particularly the scallop and prawn dumplings, and I would definitely recommend the black cod as part of the main course.

Will be back!!!
