We had a party at Le Querce last Friday, there were 19 of us and I have to say that the service, the food, the attention to detail and the friendly staff were fantastic.

It was our second time at this restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. Our guests were really impressed with the restaurant and surprised at some of the ice cream flavours, it certainly is a talking point and they couldn't believe they actually liked them. I would highly recommend Le Querce, whether for a romantic meal or a big party, they are so helpful and the food is First Class.

We are Italian, my mother-in-law is almost 80 and very, very fussy! We have tried many Italian restaurants in London and always have to listen to the complaints afterwards, but we took her to Le Querce in Blackheath and she, and we, loved it.

The food is really authentic, there were 7 of us, including 2 teenagers and we all tried something different. Fantastic is the best word to describe this restaurant.

Real Italian food, they bake their own organic bread, make their own pasta, the ravioli and gnocchi are delicious. The service is excellent and it's very good value for money.

With regard to the negative reviews on this page, I can only suggest that they are not used to real Italian food. I honestly can't think of another reason for saying such things.

Le Querce is now our favourite restaurant outside Italy and I would definitely recommend it.

Restaurant mainly empty on a Saturday night should have served as a warning.

The food was good, more specials than menu, the former of which is not written down so no prices....

Waiting service is just adequate and they do not seem to care if you are enjoying your meal, nobody bothered to ask.

The service from the kitchen is diabolical, our dessert order had not arrived after 40 minutes by which time patience was exhausted.

The coffee is also best avoided if you like coffee but may serve those of masochistic tendencies who like decaff.

Not one I will return to or recommend.

A lovely family run restaurant in the heart of Blackheath. The excellent service is friendly without being overbearing. There is a fantastic choice of specials in addition to an adequate menu. In our group, we had several fish dishes that were all absolutely delicious. When we couldn’t decide what wine to have, we were given samples of two of the wines to help us find the one we liked best. The selection of ice cream was amazing. We had pumpkin with amaretto, banana with cinnamon and cardamom and rhubarb. All of them were wonderful.

I went to le Querce Restaurant in Blackheath soon after it opened and have been returning since as I always find it a wonderful experience. I have spoken to the staff and they have always been very helpful and friendly. I have never had a bad experience there food or otherwise. In reference to the comment made by Linda, are you sure you had spaghetti? Because they don't actually serve Spaghetti there, they have tagliolini on the menu' with meat sauce, whose texture if you're used to Spaghetti might be a bit strange to the tastebuds, and I have never read Bolognese, it may be an error on my part but I'm pretty sure of it.

I will definitely carry on going to Le Querce as I don't think any restaurant in the Blackheath area even comes close food wise.

Went to Le Querce with my husband for dinner. The restaurant was empty and after the meal we understood why.

For the starter, I had the minestrone soup and my husband had the razor clams. The soup was very bland and vegetables were too soft. My husbands clams were average, but way overpriced for what was served.

For our mains, I had the spaghetti bolognese and my husband had the steak. The spaghetti was tasteless and the texture was awful. And my husbands main was no better. The steak was very chewy and looked like it was made from frozen.

We immediately asked for the bill, as we couldn't stomach any more food. The lady did ask us why our dishes were still full and we told her. She didn't look too pleased with our comments, but did take our main courses off our bill.

Will never be returning there again.
