Excellent venue for our groups' annual dinner. Food was excellent and staff very attentive. Nothing too much trouble - even when 2 extra guests arrived who had forgottten to pre book their places!

Had a private party (private dining room) here for our company (30 or so staff)

Food very good; wine excellent (and not unreasonably priced); service exemplary.

I hosted a client event at The White Swan based on recommendation and was not disappointed. We reserved the Mezzanine for drinks, prior to heading up to the Dining Room for dinner. The service was excellent, both in the bar and the dining room - the team were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food and wine really delicious - the sea trout in particular - and a great evening was had by all. No hint of hesitation in recommending.

We had a brilliant time everyone loved the food! I am so glad I choose The White Swan. It is really difficult sometimes to pick a good venue trying to please everyone! There was no negative comments at all the staff were really efficient and professional. Food was delivered very quickly for the amount of people eating all freshly prepared.

We used this bar/ restaurant for a party of about 40 a few weeks ago. We hired the upstairs area and chose a set menu. The food was excellent, and the staff were attentive, polite and discrete.

The pub is well presented; its clean, well lit and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

They have good choice of beers plus an extensive wine menu. The drinks are reasonbly priced, and the 3 course set menu meal came to £40 per head after service charge. We also had some people order from the pub menu which was equally good.

At the end of the evening, all party members commented on how fantastic everything was; the food, drinks, atmosphere, and the staff.

A great place to go for parties or an after work drink. The events staff were very flexible and friendly; and were happy to make last minute arrangements as we did (several times!)

Just had my 40th birthday at the White Swan on Saturday night and can't recommend the place highly enough as a great party venue. The decor is quirky and canapes really tasty but not your run of the mill so it's very different to the usual city pub. The staff were lovely - really professional but warm and tolerant of my merry crowd! With the furniture moved around there was plenty of space for everyone to have a dance. I had a great night and will certainly be back as the food in the restaurant is fantastic.
