I had a fantastic lunch here at the beginning of the week. The meal was efficient yet utterly delicious, and the staff seemed to really know what they were talking about which makes a change. Just thought it deserved a mention, as I will definitely be coming here more often. It'd be difficult to find another place that would measure up! I look forward to tasting the dining room menu...

I had a gorgeous evening here last thursday. Popped in for a drink after work, and ended up staying for a really lovely meal in the upstairs dining room. The atmosphere was great - I loved the little oil candles on the tables. The food was cooked beautifully, both myself and my partner had the lamb special and it was delicious! Great place, glad i've finally discovered it, definately somewhere we'll be frequenting!

We held a corporate dinner at The White Swan on the 2/07/08 and I would just like to say that the service and the food was excellent. There were people from all around the world attending the dinners and the staff and chef were very helpful in ensuring that all dietary requirement were met. I would like to say a big thank you to Nadia and all the staff for making our evening a success!!!

I hired the downstairs for a party last Saturday night and had the same experience. Very friendly staff and a great venue for a party. Drinks at reasonable prices and the way we were served was also very good. I thoroughly recommend it.

We hired this venue last weekend for a private party of about 90 people.

Nadia and her team were absolutely superb, really helpful and attentive. The bar has great atmosphere, a good drinks selection and is a good size for a party of that size, we just took the downstairs.

We had canapes for our guests which were very tasty. Lots of good comments on the venue and staff from our guests too.

Would definitely recommend The White Swan if anyone was thinking of a central venue for a party.

Had my wedding reception here couple of weeks and it was just amazing, relaxed and professional at the same time. The lunch was perfect and the staff were the best ever. Highly recommended venue for a weekend party and THANK YOU to all again!

We hired this venue for my fathers 60th birthday celebtrations. After drinks in the bar we headed upstairs to the restaurant for a fabulous meal followed by more drinks and dancing downstairs.

The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful, particularly Nadia. Nothing was to much trouble and they seemed to be genuinely thrilled to see everyone having a great time.

Lunch was great, everyone commented on the food especially the mushroom and spinach tart.

Overall, this is a great venue for parties big and small, we took over the whole place and it worked a treat. Great value for money and something that will give my father a great memory of his birthday. I would certainly recommend without hesitation.

My sister-in-law had her wedding reception here and we had a fabulous time. What could have been a somewhat challenging experience, with two young children in a crowded space, turned out to be a really great one instead.

The food was absolutely lovely, but the best bit for us - as parents - was the fact that the staff were fantastic. Attentive, friendly and helpful all round, but even better, David made paper planes for the children and Renata impressed them with making flowers out of drinking straws :) They played with the kids throughout the evening and even offered to look after them so that we could listen to the speaches on the lower floors and have a dance.

I had the good sense to book ahead at the Swan for my partner and I on valentines night - both bar and upper floor restaurant at this classy establishment were full of diners, yet the atmosphere remained calm and efficient, with candles adding to the romantic atmosphere. We sat under the mirrored ceiling and enjoyed a bottle of Australian Shiraz- our servers recommendation and a fair price at £26. To start, my partner enjoyed the oysters while I tried the lobster ravioli. Even though the restaurant was full the service remained efficient yet inobtrusive. Our main courses of duck and John Dory were delicious and I simply didn't have room for dessert, even though the chocolate tort my partner enjoyed looked tempting. The total bill was just under £130.Thoroughly recommend this establishment - suggest you book ahead as we did to avoid disappointment.
