i went to Chaopraya Eat-Thai in St Christophers Place with a friend not on any deal but the food was fantastic. The venue is deceptive from the picture as you are led downstairs to a very nice relaxed atmospheric restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of upsatirs. The food was excellent and although they got my friends order wrong the food was still amazing. One of the best Thai meals we have had would recommend this to all Thai food levers

I've eaten here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. The food is slightly overpriced but always delicious - the scallops are especially good. Service has been great each time.

Horrendous service, the waitress told us the wrong thing when we ordered and we were forced into paying the extra by the patronising owner with no mention of an apology.

Food was not worth the money. Please don't waste your time or money here.

Eat Thai is nice enough food but not remotely worth the money. £16 for a bowl of noodles is outrageous if you are not going to bother making them taste special or different. The service is also pretty bad. Slow and borderline rude. A meal for two with two small beers came to £70. We could have gone to just about any other thai restaurant and had the same experience for less than half the price. Also 12.5% service charge automatically added on meant that the staff did not have to even bother trying to give give service.

Very good food. The coconut pancake dessert is to die for! A great place for a night out with friends.

Have been here twice before when the food and service has been top notch. Worth going back for we thought, even though prices were higher than normal thai restaurants

This time, the food was REALLY bad. Not one good dish.........Scallops were tiny, and tasteless, Salad had so much chilli in it, we couldn`t finish it (and we LOVE hot food), soft shell crab was not cooked very well and the service was not attentive at all.

Maybe it was because we went on a Saturday night, where as previously we went on a weeknight?

At £50 per head it`s not worth the risk again for me and we will go somewhere more consistent.

Years ago, I travelled to Thailand. Since then Thai food became my favourite. I have also tried many Thai restaurants in London and recently I and my girlfriend were introduced to a place where we hardly spotted on, just around St Christophers's Place. We are not Veggies but we always enjoy vegetable dishes. Although there are not many on the menu, the staff could help you out with the idea what to have. Green curry is always my no.1. I definitely go back to try those varieties on the menu list soon

Three words: oversalted, overpriced, over here. My husband and I booked a baysitter and ventured into central london for a rare meal out, and for what. For food which could have disgraced an inflight mealtray. The spring roll could have come from a supermarket, the lamb curry was OK but dismally fatty, the flavours lacked relief and freshness. My husband's dish- it included the word Krapaw so maybe that should have forewarned him, was so salty he couldn't finish it. True, the staff are charming but that's not enough to compendate for the combo of profound mediocrity and high prices (£92 meal for 2 + bottle of wine). The demised Pepper Tree in Clapham did far better Thai food, I don't know any good thai restaurants in London now, but after this, I'm not tempted to look.

I booked a table for 2 for Valentines day, and I must say the food is absolutely gorgeous, finished nicely with tasty desert. The service is great, the prices aren't too bad - you are looking about £40-£50 per person. The atmosphere is relaxing, warm, homely, I wanted downstairs though because it was all the room candle lit, but couldn't because it was fully booked for downstairs.

Overall not too pricey, nicely decorated, great atmosphere and I would most definitely go again, :)
