Cristini (Sussex Place)

My husband and I needed somewhere to eat in London on a rare day out away from our 9 month old daughter. I'd chosen Cristini based on the reviews and because it's not too far from the end of Oxford Street for when we'd finished shopping.
As we hadn't been able to make contact with the restaurant during the day we took a risk and just turned up about 7.15pm. We were fortunate to get a table as there were some people who came after us who were turned away.
Our food was excellent. I had the ravioli with poppy seeds as a starter which just melted. And my husband had the calves liver as a main course which he said was lovely and some of the best liver he'd ever had. The tiramisu we had for dessert was light and the chianti classico we chose to accompany the meal was wonderful.
Overall the service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going again.

Living 250 miles away and being by myself, it was essential that dinner should be relaxing and comfortable.
I chose Cristini by the reviews and that it had a similar name to my wife (left alone at home).
Everything was so good, the food the service and fellow diners, that I rang my wife a couple of times from the table (rude I know) to tell her what she was missing.
I (we) shall return.
Good luck Napoli

When I went here for dinner, I was astounded at the excellent value for money and the tasty, wide ranging menu.
The service was superb, and there was a nice, relaxed, tranquil atmosphere!
Definitely recommend!

We were 6 girls who went for a night of good food and drink. Cristini turned out to be a great choice. The food was tasty and the service was great. If you like pasta you will find that the portions are a good size. The £18.50 set 2 course meal is very price worthy. We didn't try any pizza so can't comment on those.

This is THE restaurant you want as your 'neighbourhood restaurant' - reasonably priced, efficient service, great food and a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately it is not in my neighbourhood but it is well worth the cab ride. The food is always freshly prepared and the homemade pastas are a must. The portions are extremely generous - I don't know how they do it for the price. The wines are chosen by owner Guiseppe for value and quality - he is as enthusiastic about his wine as he is his food you can't go wrong with one of his recommendations. It would be hard to find another restaurant in this price bracket with this quality of wine. A real pleasure - I can't recommend it highly enough.

Cristinis is one of my secret discoveries that I don't mind sharing. This little restaurant is a real gem, hidden away in Lancaster Gate. I often go with my family and friends and always have a great time. Giuseppe and his team are welcoming, professional and offer true Italian hospitality. The food is fresh and consistently great. My personal favs are the octopus and potato salad, the fresh tuna (the best I’ve ever tasted) and definitely leave room for the semi-freddo or the tiramisu. The atmosphere of the restaurant lends itself to any occasion from a casual dinner with friends to celebrating my mum's birthday. They seem to have a lot of regular customers, many of whom are Italian themselves which I take to be sign that the food is authentic and good.
Anyone who likes Italian food and a warm and friendly atmosphere should try Cristinis.

Fresh, well prepared food with daily specials and a good selection of Italian wines that the owner, Giuseppe will enthusiastically describe and recommend has made this a firm favourite. Good value and a good time.
