I read some of the reviews below and wonder whether we visited the same bar. The service was awful, the staff were rude and promises made re ability to provide food which simply weren't delivered (the little food that was provided was cheap and horrible). Overpriced drinks were exacerbated by a ridiculously unjusitifed service charge. Formal complaints were made following the evening, responses of which have not been received. We went with some 30 friends all of which will not be returning.

We went to Zakudia for a friends' birthday celebration. A celebration it was not. The service was overpowering and rude and the drinks were overpriced. Be aware of the hefty service charge added to bills even if drinks are ordered in person at the bar. Best part of the night - leaving.

One of the worst evenings of our lives. We tried Zakudia after reading these rave reviews but they must have been written a while back. The drinks were disappointing and over priced, the staff were slow and rude and the bathrooms were utterly discussing. The best thing that night was leaving.

I also discovered zakudia by accident - a definite hidden gem that i will be returning to! Cocktails were great and the wine was sooo cheap by London standards - good too!!

We only ordered snacky food but was exactly what we needed!

'Pleasant and tasty dining for patient and tolerant clientelle.'

After finding Zakudia by mistake in the rain, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and cute tables by the windows. The great views and on the whole very tasty food, was let down by a neglectful service standard, on 3 occasions we had to stand and walk to the waiters talking in a group to gain attention for drinks, desert and the bill. Although it was a Monday night, many of the items we wished to order were out of stock. The drinks were good, well presented and moderately priced (cocktails approx 6.50). The lamb dish was very tasty and well presented. The desert was slightly cold, but we were unsure if it was meant to be this way, and over all still tasted delicious. I think that a lack of options we wished to order and a lack of attentive service tainted what would otherwise have been a very pleasant casual dinig experience. I would also hazzard a guess that this venue may be simply better at catering to a cocktail crowd than the Monday evening diner. Worth a look.

Just finished recovering from a night out at Zakudia, cocktails were far too tempting and the waiters picked out some great ones for me and my friends. Service was brilliant and the staff are so friendly (but did decline my friends attempts!). Will deffinitely be going back, oh yeh the views are good as well.

Excellent service, and cocktails to die for (try the Southwark Sling). Even if it was bad the view is worth a trip. Just remember that it's a bar not a restaurant and you'll be fine.

I just came back from Zakudia for lunch with 6 of my work colleagues (totalling 7 diners). Or rather, I should say only 5 of us had lunch. 1 of us ordered the curry special and 6 of us ordered the burger special. The curry came out pretty quickly and was finished by the time the burgers came - but only 4 of the burgers were served. The remaining two were kept waiting and after numerous follow-ups were promised their food in "5 minutes" but by that time the rest of us had finished eating and we had been there over an hour already so they could no longer wait (also due to scheduled appointments) so we left. We did not receive an apology or anything - when we asked for the bill, the manager came to clarify what we actually did eat and simply stated "that's fair enough". And to add insult to injury, they then added a 12.5% service charge. I don't think so.
