School Dinners (Holborn Viaduct)

We too were really disappointed to get a 3 line letter, notice not dated, saying they were no longer trading.

When they resurface I will be taking legal action against them for ruining my night, and causing me undue stress in having to try and book another venue for my brothers stag night, at even more expense.

Fortunately I should get my money back as I paid for it on a credit card.

I can't understand how people who operate in a service industry can treat people like scum, I for one say everyone should pay them a visit on the first day they re-open and demand compensation, and their money back.

I have suffered a similiar fate booking this place for a hens night in June, parting with £120 only to receive the same letter. I too have tried calling & emailing to no avail. Is there anything we cna do about this?? I will try the consumer advice bureau next week. It makes me sick that people can knowingly take your cash like this.

WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!

After numerous calls to the Citizens Advice Bureau, Trading Standards, Companies House AND Official Receivers, I am told that although my boyfriends Best Man put a lot of time and effort in gathering 35 friends, collecting deposits and taking the time out to drive to Holborn, we have little chance of getting our £900 deposit back from these people!

Serveral Phone calls & emails later and we've heard nothing!! We are now seaking legal advice!!!

What I want to know is how does Jackie, who took our money, sleep at night???!!!

We will also be visiting School Dinners when they re-open (IF they re-open) tio request our money back!!! Alternatively I wil carry on fighting to get every single £ back from this people!

I booked this place for a hen night in June and then two weeks ago I was sent a letter saying they had shut down. They've not returned my deposit or any explaination. I've written, emailed and rung but alas no response.. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE!

Did all the people who wrote a good revue go to the same place? School Dinners is tacky, poorly organised and a total farce.

I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this! I wanted a saucy, cheeky night out for a reasonable price.

I got a vulgar, expensive for what you get, unprofessional waste of time.

Food was... well I am assuming it was food. Entertainment was just nasty. Take note there is sexy and there is just wrong! And I don't mean 'wrong' in a good way!

I will never go here again and I advise you not to either! Spend a bit more on a classier night out... trust me it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks School Dinners you ruined our night out!

Still, you got our money so why do you care!

I booked this venue for a hen night for later this year. I have just received a 3 line letter telling me that they have lost their premises lease! No apology or explanation as to what happens next and no sign of the deposit monies we have paid. After a little digging around it seems that a planning application was made in January this year to demolish the building, yet they still took my money more than a month later! I have e-mailed twice and telephoned several times but surprise surprise am not getting any response.

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Expected this to be a great night of old school dinners and dancing. Turned out to be more of a strip joint! The staff are either drunk or on something else (cough cough) and entertainment is classed as forcing someone to bend over while they hit you (very hard) with cains. Other forms of entertainment were a waitress with jelly in her mouth spitting it over a man in a chair (who almost threw up), and getting people lie down on the floor whilst they sit on top of your head and slap you in the face.

For starters the options were

1. Prawn Cocktail

2.Patee'

3. Tomato Soup

Not sure what kind of school they went to but i never had the option of these.

When the main course finally arrived it was stone cold and tasted like it had been dropped on the floor, stepped on, re-heated 5 times and then left to get cold.

The place was full of old pervy men looking to get a quick frill from the young girls who worked there, disgusting to watch!

More of a place for a stag do than going for a meal with friends. Unfortunately i cannot give this place anything but a 0 all round.

I wish I could give a good/bad review. We booked this venue for 18 people for someones leaving do, weeks in advance. Only to be told the DAY BEFORE that a bigger group had taken our place, leaving us with no-where to go and no send off for our colleague who's leaving the country.

Thanks a lot school dinners, so beware if you are not large enough for this disgraceful, unprofessional outfit.

What makes me really mad is that after reading reviews, I suggested booking there.
