I must say the food here is really good for a person who dines out very often.I've seen this place from the begining and now tey have 3 branches in the same high street. You guys done well for producing good south indian food in london with the right price.Honestly!Coming from the same industry we as customers will come to a point that even if the food is star rated quality if your service does not improve then you will be losing all the CUSTOMERS.You have a full restaurant of waiters running around like headless chicken. They can't get anything right. You have to ask tables to be cleared all the time and you will be lucky if you get the right orders.Advice! Eat what you been served because you will be waiting for another hour while trying to get the attention of the waiters standing around the cashier. Its a busy place serving good food but shame again! the owner is not there to see all the service issues. Will go again and try the chalange of service.

We used to love Chennai Dosa, till about 3 weeks ago when we went in and has just about the most horrible experience imaginable. I love the food most of the dishes taste quite well and it really can't be beaten when it comes to value for money. However when it comes to service I am getting increasingly suspicious about the restaurant. The service has never been quite a high point but on one particular occasion we even after asking for extra curry and reminding them twice had to literally walk out after 15 minutes after being not served and that too at a time when the restaurant wasn't as busy. We have ignored such service issues in the past but it seems more and more that the waiters are particularly not motivated to make your experience even bearable, they barely have a smile on their faces. In short if you can put up with inefficient, patchy, unfriendly service but great tasting food that comes with great value for money and can put up with cleaning your spoons and water glass than Chennai Dosa is for you !!

A week bak, I arranged a party there at the chennai dosa restaurant at manor park for ma collegues. I was bit worried whether its gonna work out, but above my expectation, we enjoyed well. I shud say we have tried most of the starters in the menu. The food was excellent, esspecially, chicken loly, mutton chukka, chilly panneer..... and the fancy DOSA, more over what really impressed me is, the suggestions from the person who served us... He has given the rite choice.

I reccomend everybody to taste the real south indian food at chennai dosa.

Happy Xmas

Visit Chennai Dosa several times. Simply the best South Indian Tamil restaurant in town. Worth a visit, in fact worth several visits.

I have eaten at several Chenai Dosa restaurants in London, and the East Ham one is the best (the one opposite the tube station). The service is great. The waiters & waitresses are friendly.

It just tends to be so crowded. That's all.
