The food is great but don't come here for the service. I have come to several of them, and the best is the one in East Ham (E6).

This is gone down now....all are new staff and there is no response very poor service. All the food are to-much oil, less taste. i had check curry at Wembley very funny taste. Dosa is fine ..price is cheap. Veg dish are fine, but not non-veg.

This restaurant serves good, authentic food at ridiculously low prices. It is what it is, and you know you will get tasty food from staff who don't quite know what they're doing. A filling 'main' dish - dosa, is still less than £3 in 2010! I have been here over 20 times in the last couple of years and cannot relate to the poor food experiences, but totally relate to the well meaning but hopeless staff. Just enjoy it!

I do not understand why people criticise Chennai Dosa, as they provide delicous food for a very reasonable price. I bet that nobody can find quality food at this price any where in London. I have been to many different south indian restaurants and i can promise you Chennai Dosa is the best. Also i can guarantee that everyone who goes they will be satisfied.

One of the worst restaurants i have ever seen in london.

I wonder how such restaurants are allowed by councils.. no professionalism... having three restaurants in east ham does not mean anything if you cannot run them successfully...

Please change the way you run these or better close them..very bad experience...

Pros - good south indian food at a good price.

Cons - Terrible service; the waiters ignore you for long periods of time. Waiters are not friendly.

- badly run. half the dishes are unavailable. whenever i go, the biriani and other chicken are not available.

- very unclean. walls had some food on them that seemed old and really stuck on. the plates and cups were very dirty. front windows were cracked too. overall its very disapointing.

I often visit the one in wembley once i finish my office. Not too bad these days. still there is a room for improvement. Specially if you can maintain the same quality of food all the time.

Service is horrible. It takes quite a while till you get your food and a few tries till you get the attention of the waiter. I called one and he said he was coming and on the way he stopped and set up another table and completely forgot about us.

The mango lassi wasnt lassi it was yoghurt with a bit of sugar. The Masalla dosai should have been called namak dosai as it was far too salty. The lamb biryani was bone biryani. The curries looked like they were really old. And the sambhar was smelling bad.

And there were other things you could have complained about including hygiene.

Overall: Catastrophe. Do NOT go to this place!!!!!
