Chennai Dosa

Chennai Dosa is good for value. My favourite is in East Ham (opposite the tube station). Somehow, they cook it better.

I had a bad experience in Tooting, as the service is poor there.

I have been to chennai dosa many times, the staff doesnt have a clue on what is customer service is and one occasion there was an argument between 2 staff in front of us, they were rude and disappear for long time and not checking what we requre, and couple of times they miss items on take away, but they gave it when i mentioned it visiting next time, and mostly they will not have all the items from the menu, so we will end up eating the same food, and recently the amount of the food is reduced to nearly half (credit crunch?) -- having said all this the taste of the food is good (and reasonably priced), i have to admit, hence for just this reason i will keep visiting chennai dosa, but before it gets any worse Mr. Ashokan need to put it right...

Itz really good place for Indian food, taste is superb. I like the veg meals especially... and my hus likes non veg..... the standard of service is absolutely appreciating.

we agree with ur comments. last week we went to have our food in wembley and to my surprise many items in the menu were not available. its been so long they dont have roti and naan. its a bit disappointing. many prefer having naan and some subji but unfortunately.... no doubt ambience and the service is good..but we need something that we want to eat.we have even given the suggestion to the waiter in the restuarant regarding this..i hope the manager of the restuarant got the message. you have a very big menu for vegetarians but if many are not there..its of no good use.if for some cost reasons you do not want to offer these items..its good you dont keep them in the menu..i love chennai dosa food and i am one of ur loyal customers. if you can little think about this that would be great.

Chennai Dosa is a major let down. Don't read the menu, there is no point as half of the food doesn't exist according to the waitress. My colleagues and I were looking forward to having a meal here BUT the food was below average, the service was poor and the atmosphere was non-existent. The pricing was good however I would prefer to pay more to get a reasonable service.

We heard about chennai dosa from our friends and we have come all the way from finchely to treat our mom who loves south indian food on mothers day. We had to wait for 15mins to get a table and once we place the order we had to wait for another 20mins to get our starters. The restaurant was very busy and i was really surprised to see a very long waiting queue, though we are not dissapointed with the service i think they can little speed up the process and serve the customers as quickly as possible.

I have to say that chennai dosa has gone down. I had a meal here recently. I decided to have two dishes (dosa and paratha). When the waitress took my order she says "Madam, so much food, you eat too much!". I was shocked!! She had no right to say how much i eat and that too i just wanted to try two dishes!!! The waitress was rude and just shoved the food in front of me. The food is very poor too. They use to be good but I highly recommend that people avoid this place because of the rude staff!!!

woow... just because of ma friends suggestion i visited the vegetarian restaurant at wembley today.. The food is so so good. You wont get this quality food any where else. One thing which i noticed is the personalised service which they are giving... good job guys... Its really value for money....

Don't even talk about restaurant decor here, it's awful. But the food is great. My favourite Chennai Dosa is in East Ham, the pure veg one. Somehow, it tastes better than the other ones.

I went to this restaurant very recently. restaurant decor was quite nice.wee really had a 'good meal' at a low price. But we realised that they are not serving many items on the menu. we were little disappointed. we even realised that the waitress was feeling inconvinient in saying NO to what all we ask and was very frequently checking the availability with the (chefs i guess) only to come back and say that its not available. if they can make a special menu with only those dishes that they can serve they would make customers more happy. As a customer I am only unhappy becaouse I dont get what i want to eat!
