Nice, pleasant, Italian-style chain, but nothing to blow you away.

The plus points first: It's convenient, the service is great, it's pleasant, the food is nice enough and they always seem to have some offer going (try Google).

The minus points? Not many. The menu is a bit unclear in places. That's really about it.

Would I go again? Probably, yes. It's convenient if car + cinema are featuring in your evening. Or if you live nearby. I wouldn't cross London for it. It's a chain after all, but this is one of the nicer outlets.

We booked a large table for a friend's birthday and about 16 of us went along for dinner. We had a couple of vouchers for a special 2 courses for £10 offer and although we did not have enough to cover the whole group they were very accommodating. We were not a very quiet bunch and had a whale of a time, helped in large part by lovely staff and the really nice food. The restaurant was busy and vibrant and had lots of atmosphere. Our wait staff were inordinately helpful and could not do more for us. I did not get their names and regret this now as I have decided to write to Zizzi head office to say thanks! As a large group the mains took a little while to get together and the manager brought us complimentary olives and apologised, which little thing goes a long way to show their kind consideration of us. The food was good, arriving hot, generous portions, and everyone very satisfied. We had organised a birthday cake for after the meal and the staff did everything they could to make it go smoothly, including singing happy birthday with us to my friend. We had the best time and will recommend Zizzi everywhere we go, especially this branch. You might not think Zizzi is the place to go for a fancy birthday dinner out but seriously, think again!
