Booked here to have a birthday dinner for my Goddaughter, and we were a few minutes late, and the general manager shouted at us, in front of other dinners. We were told we would have to hurry up and eat and be out at a certain time. He was not reasonable about it, just shouted. I would never go back there again.

This restaurant is beautiful, staff great, especially a gentleman waiter. The value is astonishing, 8 people for starter, dinner, wine, it worked out about £15 each, soo tasty, well recommended, nice romantic surroundings too.

A friend booked this for a couples' evening on the first Saturday of 2007.

If you're particularly tight, or a student, you'll try this place. It's very cheap so that will come with all the trappings: horribly overcrowded, no space to move or get out of your seat, very difficult to get served, food is cold when it arrives (shame as it tastes quite good).

Yes you could say it's value for money but I'd rather spend a bit more and go to a restaurant which isn't so stuffy, overcrowded and lacking in good customer service.

Have been twice to this restaurant, and the only thing I can say is thank god the company was great. if you go later in the evening then the prices aren't so amazing, as you pay for the lamb/chicken or whatever then you have to pay for each and every vegetable or potato dish you have with the meal. so your main course can easily end up costing £15 (and while this is not expensive, you can go else where and get better quality food for the same price) and with wine , even the more reasonably priced bottles you can end up spending £30 per head or beyond for food that tends to the greasey and service that tends to the lacklustre and slow. There are plenty of community locals and good pub restaurants out there that serve good home cooked food at these prices. I recommend you go to one of them.

Consistently delicious and cozy. Great service, great atmosphere, and low prices to amaze. Don't know how they do it but it keeps us coming back.

We had heard great things about Little Bay - sadly they did not come to fruition. Whilst the atmosphere was pleasant and meal itself a hearty winter meal, the service was appalling. After having a boiling latte spilt over two members of our party by the waitress, we were left to clean it up ourselves, accused of spilling it ourselves (despite support from the table next to us) and then asked to leave whilst still finishing our replacement coffees (as the next group had arrived). I will not be returning.

The atmosphere was great and the decor (esp the cosy balcony and conservatory eatery areas) was lovely and romantic. The food and service was excellent. The relaxing mood helps you eat your food slowly and enjoy your company (and mine was great - Rob you give me so much joke! The stories and lay plan were excellent!). And when the bill comes you will probably become as suprised as we were at the monetary value of your evening. Had a great time and would come back again - although i hope no one minded that Rob and I were laughing the place down!

To look at the reviews on this website you would get the impression that by going to Little Bay, you're in store for a night of gastronomic delight.

If anybody thinks that is the case after going there, then I pity them!

The prices are spot on. The ambience is great. I would go back with a large party - but dont kid yourself about the quality of the food - it is not fine dining or gastronomy - All you are getting is value for money and i would personally have preferred to spend a little bit more and had a slightly better than "mediocre" meal.

A perfect place for a romantic night out, downstairs with the candle light is beautiful. The food is gorgeous and if you go before 7.15pm you get a 3 course meal for around £7.50. Me and my boyfriend love going there. Quick service. Would recommend!!
