While staying at a hotel in the neighborhood, my 10 year old daughter and I ventured into Little Bay. It was cozy, with lots of atmosphere. We really enjoyed the selections and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely recommend the lamb. Great place for kids.

I have been to this restaurant twice now. Both times I had fish whilst my friend had a meat dish.

Both times I did find the starters were a bit too oily. The main course of fish was absolutely delicious. I had salmon the first time and cod the second time. I didn't particularly like my friends chicken breast or the steak which I found too dry. The chips also aren't particularly good.

If you love fish are are looking for a cheap eat then this is the place to go but if I were to go again then I wouldn't get anything else from the menu.

If you're judging a restaurant solely on the quality of the food and value for money then Little Bay would score very highly. Unfortunately it has a couple of big issues that really let it down.

The food itself is well executed, tasty and very cheap. We ate here recently with 3 adults and 2 kids – and two courses plus two bottles of wine came to only £80.

The food is mainly French influenced with a good selection of seafood and vegetarian options. Starters of Crab with Avocado Salsa, Parson’s Pastry (Filo pastry filled with Smoked Chicken in a Tomato sauce) and Moules Mariniere were excellent. Rib eye steak and duck for mains were good but over sauced.

The main reason that we didn’t stay for desert is that we were sat in one of the funky looking upstairs alcoves. What looks like a great novelty idea, especially if you’ve got kids with you, ruined the meal as it gets unbearably hot up there. Only when we asked to be moved did they turn the air conditioning on which made it slightly less uncomfortable.

Only after getting the bill did were we told that they don’t take cards – it’s cash or cheque only. This was rather embarrassing and resulted in an unexpected trip to Kilburn High Road to get some cash out. Putting a notice on the window alerting customers to this would have saved a lot of hassle.

So in summary, decent cheap meal if you’re in the area – just don’t sit upstairs and bring cash.

What can I say, this restaurant HAS TO BE the best restaurant I have been to in London for the longest time. The food is incredible, great value for money and the way it is presented is excellent. I have never managed to eat a 3 course meal because by the time I have finished my main course I am too full up to eat a dessert, however because the food is so so nice I always manage to squeeze a dessert in.

The atmosphere is also good and the service is excellent too. I have been there with many friends and am taking family there for the first time next week, I cannot wait and i'm sure they will enjoy it just as much as I have.

My favourite starter is the mussels - absolutely delicious, especially with the bread and butter that they put on your table as standard. What more can you ask for.

My favourite main course has to be either the seabass or the salmon but in my opinion any dish I have had there has been very very nice.

I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!!!!

Brilliant value for money and truely magnificent tasting food!! I love it and it is one of my regular trips twice a month. You can not go wrong. Decor is great and cute. If you reserve remember to ask for one of the upsstairs coves. It is oh so sweet!!!!Please remembr that it gets hot when sitting in these coves so make sure you have layers you can take off.Whether you go for a lunch, dinner, with a friend or a partner or even for a date it is well worth it!!! Very friendly people.

I went to Little Bay this winter before expansion. I could see a new small building next to the old restaurant. It looked really cute. When I was there I ordered some carrot soup as a starter, which was really generous& very colourful. After that I had a something like chicken steak as a main dish. It was a bit tiny though extremely tasty and the sauce was very delicious. I think it's enough for women. For dessert I had blueberry cheese cake which contained plenty of cheese. It was the most divine I've ever eaten. Furthermore the waiter was very attentive & the service was efficient. One thing that I really liked was the atmosphere. Although it was small it was lovely for me because it was cozy and warm. I would recommand Little Bay to anybody.

Have been to this restaurant a couple of times. On entering, it is a very charming venue with tables on the ground floor being set into their own alcoves and split-levels. Downstairs is a larger area where most diners will end up.

We found the food was above average but not mind-blowing. However, for the price one couldn't complain. One minor point was that the menu was a bit confusing. Some of the main courses come with vegetables. Others do not and require side dishes to be ordered separately. Some clarification!

Atmosphere - a point of contention here. It's loud and acoustically bad! But this is an opinion. Some like it loud. I like to think and take it all in. Okay for some.

Service was okay - no fancy trimmings but no complaints either.

Would go back as it's great value for money, but not top of my list.

All in all, an excellent little place! We booked a fantastic table up in one of the balconies and our lovely waiter was wonderfully attentive and friendly. Because it was mum's birthday, we had a bottle of lovely dry Cava for about £15. Food-wise, I particularly recommend the dressed crab terine and the pig's cheek with mash for starters. For mains the lamb shank and the salmon were out of this world! We didn't get to the puddings as I had surreptitiously brought a birthday cake along - and the staff were really accomodating: After our mains, our waiter produced the birthday cake with a flourish along with some candles and everyone sang happy birthday to mum.

I had been here a couple of times before and the food was always amazing and SO CHEAP (check out the website if you don't believe me)! I don't know how they do it!! They could double their prices and you'd still struggle to get a table on a Saturday night. No one else in our party had ever been there before and everyone was delighted with the delicious, beautifully presented food and the unbelievably cheap prices. Be warned though, they don't take cards - only cash and cheques. The only down side was that the service was a bit slow between courses, but if you're there for a good natter, you'll hardly notice because there's such a cozy, elegant atmosphere in the place. And the food is well worth the wait!

Booked here to have a birthday dinner for my Goddaughter, and we were a few minutes late, and the general manager shouted at us, in front of other dinners. We were told we would have to hurry up and eat and be out at a certain time. He was not reasonable about it, just shouted. I would never go back there again.
