I absolutely love this restaurant, the food is always spot on and the service fantastic. the surroundings I've always found charming, but and I hate to say this but the place is in need of a refurbishment. the seats are torn, the tables are badly scratched and the conservatory ceiling blinds are absolutely rotten. if I had clocked the ceilings before I had been seated I don't know if I'd have stayed they are a real off putter. please sort em out as everything else is perfection its a real shame!!!

An excellent experience, both times I have been there.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere, good service, excellent food and offers brilliant value for money.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.
They have an interesting menu with new items frequently but if they still have the Pig Cheeks in Madeira sauce when you go you must try them! Delicious, they could turn a vegetarian!

This was my first visit to little bay and i checked the reviews online and most were positive so was looking forward to it. It was a birthday celebration and there were 18 of us. We had booked two weeks in advance.
However, i was sorely disappointed. Though the food it self was lovely, it arrived at different times so we could not eat together and some of our party complained of the food being cold and missing ingredients that were stated on the menu. The staff were unbelievable. We were seated for 45 minutes before we got any service and the staff were not polite.
We were seated right next to the enterance, so close in fact the the door was hitting the back of one of our chairs. I felt that as we had booked so far in advance, they knew how big our party was and should have prepared for that by maybe adding more staff as there was only one waitress for the whole floor. They then had the nerve to add an extremely high service charge, when we received such poor service. The waitress actually swore when one of my party sent back her meal to be heated as it was stone cold.
I will not be returning there again.

Recently tried this from friend recommendations - it lives up to it's rep. Very quirky surrounding, nice and helpful staff - manager very friendly and the food tasty/ well presented. Makes a great impression when the chef personally brings out your main dish!
Basket of bread while you wait for your order = free! (shocked!) Wine good. Price very resonable..
A total pleasure to dine here, will be making it a local!

We went there yesterday, such a busy place, we didn't have a booking, but the manager still managed to get us a balcony table that we asked for.
The food was great, the Butterfish dish was a surprising good (it is one of the more expensive dishes at £10.75), the sauce went really well with the fish. The halal beef goulash was pretty good as well.
We will definitely go there again!

We'd not been to the Little Bay for some years and were alarmed to read the recent negative review. We were pleasantly surprised. The Little Bay still serves excellent, inventive food in quirky, talking point surroundings, with very pleasant and efficient staff. 4 of us had a table in the 'conservatory' and sat in a sort of low ceilinged wooden room, reminiscent of a church confessional - really quaint and interesting. The desserts are to die for! A wonderful 3 course meal for £15 to £20. I strongly recommend The Little Bay to you.
