Visited last Saturday night.
Agree with all the other positive reviews. The food was very good (though a limited choice on the menu - best to check first if you are very picky), the atmosphere buzzing not too noisily, the location interesting and the staff very friendly.
Hope they carry on for a good while yet, as we will certainly return if they do.

I heard about this pop-up venture via the London Eating blog - and all I can say is, thank goodness I did!! Quite simply one of the best places we have ever eaten at.
From the very helpful reservations manager, to the polite and friendly staff serving us, not to mention the wonderfully quirky and historic surroundings, Bonnie & Wild is a treat.
The simple food is out of this world. For starters - the crab bruschetta was sweet and fresh, and the pigeon breast was rare and tender.
We both went for the stand-out main dish of venison steak, and weren't disappointed. Rare and juicy slabs of barbequed meat, with a delicious fruity sauce.
Being able to bring our own bottle of wine from home meant we could enjoy a decent aged rioja with our meal, something that would have cost over £50 had we ordered from a wine list. The £3.50 corkage charge per head (not per bottle??) was a bit tight however.
It's such a shame that this is a short-lived experiment - I would happily revisist all year round. If you can reserve a table over the next two weekends, go for it while you still can!

I loved my visit here. Firstly the venue is amazing - I've always wanted an excuse to visit one of these old pie and mash shops but never fancied a jellied eel so was glad to see that Bonnie and Wild were taking it over every saturday.
Secondly, the food is great. Simple, British and beautifully cooked and presented, the venison was up there with the best I have ever tasted. I also had the pigeon which was wonderfully rare and tasty.
All in all a great saturday night out.

What a great concept! Totally unique setting and incredible food. The food was a touch slow in coming out but it didn't bother us as it was such a fun place to be. The highlight for me was bbq'd coley with langoustines and razor clams - it was fantastic and mighty fresh. Great music too - classic soul, motown and 50's which really suited the venue. There was even a live musician singing and playing a ukulele which was a lovely surprise. I would highly recommend The Bonnie & Wild. It's deservedly busy so you need to book!

Really enjoyed eating here - it's in the oldest pie shop in london, so very atmospheric with music, old fashioned booths, and small lamps. Friendly service (including a few guys in kilts!!) It's a collaboration between The Wild Game Co and The Bonnie Gull. So the food on offer is wild game and venison (*** highly recommend the venison - it's absolutely melt in your mouth) and sea food (very good oysters and scallops). Menu changes every week but good for trying out different food, eg pigeon which is stunning. The guys who run the place are young and very fun - a great way to spend a saturday night (the only night they're on) and eat some bloody good food. And it's BYOB.
