Barbara Pritchard & daughter-in-law. Oh dear! Sounds like you had a horrendous time at the BK. My family and I have been to the BK regularly over the past few years. Not once did we experience bad service or notice any filth - apart from the obvious mess you would expect in a restaurant crammed full of toddlers. As for the genius suggestion of china crockery....BK's was not a GREEK restaurant so why would they offer toddlers the chance to smash plates?

Bring back Blue Kangaroo. Giraffe is a poor second option.

The negative comments below are absurd...! We visited the Blue Kangaroo many, many times over the 5 years we have been living in and around London. My daughter has had many happy times there and their cooked breakfasts were superb, the coffee excellent, the service by attentive staff was also wonderful – the manager always remembered my daughter and me by name and I can’t remember a visit when she didn’t walk out with a balloon as a ‘present’.

And for the record – I didn’t work there…

Bring it back!!!

I would also agree, the staff were always excellent, the food and activities were second to none. We've been going for 5 years and would return on a regular basis and we don't live in the Chelsea area . Does anyone know why it shut down and are the management looking to open somewhere else?

I am really shocked to read those ridiculous reviews below. My daughter had her 3rd birthday party there. The staff were absolutely fantastic. The children had a wonmderful time and everything was porganised , including adult food, party bags and a lady who called to co-ordinate it with me. It was the best kids party. I then went there at least 10 more times. the adult food was great and the children always ate their food and enjoyed the activities that were there free of charge. I loved it. The dirty floors? beer bottle men? NEVER!

What a shame it has closed down. I know it was very well loved. Have they moved site? I would travel to visit it.

This place closed because the rent was sky high and anyone who thought they could open a kids restaurant and sustain it was a poor accountant and a fatal optimist.

Dawn,

I'm as shocked as you are with the bad reviews and closure of Blue Kangaroo. We (my daughter and I) have been going there for many years and have always had a great time.

The staff were always pleasant and the food was always excellent. Our last visit was in Feb 07 when she had her birthday party. During the week days and holidays they ran free activities. God knows what has happened since then, maybe a change of management?

It's a real shame!

Does anyone know what happened to Blue Kangaroo? We miss it dearly! Please post something if you know why they shut.

Bt the way, it has nothing to do with the ridiculously horrible and absurdly inaccurate reviews below. BK was a favorite among parents and kids alike.
