I've been here many times over the past 2 years and have always had an enjoyable meal. If you want to go somewhere that isn't your usual Flock Wallpaper Cuzza then Zamzama is a great option. Nice modern interior and a good variety of unusual dishes (not just the usual tikka masala's and rogan josh). They have a wonderful lamb dish served in a crock pot and the South Indian dosa is light and crisp.

The service can be a little slow and you do sometimes have to ask for water 2-3 times but its great value and I've always got a table during the week without booking.

Not impressed overall, since there were no vegetarian main course items on the menu at all. Upon asking, I was told that they could offer one option - which turned out to be rather good in terms of presentation and quality. But still a bit disappointing that there wasn't any choice for vegetarians. Also two of us ordered mango lassis, and they only had one glass of it left!

This resturant has a fresh modern look; however, thats the only positive fact i can point out. The food was horrible, it did not taste fresh, portion sizes served were for children, and to top it of, service was poor, i had to request water four times before the waiter finally brought it over, and the resturant was not even busy.

Rang up a few days before to make a booking where I was asked the usual information, time, name etc. When we turned up, were told that they had no record of the booking! Not too much of an issue that night (midweek) since there were plenty of tables free, but I probably wouldn't risk it if you're going on a busier night!

The decor inside was quite modern and well put together. Our group of three ended up on a largish table intended for 5, but this wasn't a big problem. The restaurant was quite noisy, not unbearably so, but not ideal for conversation.

The restaurant was clearly following the Ramsey school of thought in keeping the menu brief and simple, which makes a nice change to the telephone-directory like menus at many indian restaurants. One hopes that this indicates that a bit more thought goes into each dish.

The food took a while to arrive. We'd just gone for mains so perhaps the delay was more noticable than if we'd ordered starters too. The food itself was perfectly acceptable, but nothing particularly special. The dishes we ordered were much milder than we expected, but this may just be down to our particular choices. Probably worth asking the waiter for advice if you're looking for something with more of a kick. Good however I suppose if you're not fond of very hot food.

The prices were pretty cheap (around £40 for the three of us mains+drinks) and I'd say the place was good value for money.

Overall, I'd say I'd certainly consider coming back here again, but if I were in the area, I would probably try one the of the other places round here that I haven't been to first. The problems with booking would put me off using this restaurant for anything pre-planned on a busy night.

Attracted to this restaurant by their 50% offer for students during happy hour, my friends and myself were highly impressed. Not your average indian restaurant the interior was classy rather than cosy, and the menu, whilst not as extensive as the typical restaurant (e.g.no baltis/dhansaks) had a good selection of chicken/lamb/fish dishes, though not many vegetarian options. I opted for a lamb dish and it was delicious. Definitely would return as a student!

Great restaurant with surprisingly modern decor for the area. Interesting and different choices of curry and barbequed/Tandoori dishes. Very reasoanbly priced and good sized portions of pretty delicious food. Four full happy people for well under £60.

Recommended!!

I'm not a great fan on Indian cuisine, but we went out as a group and they all are. The venue is great. You don't expect it from the area you would class a back street restaurant. It was relaxing, tastefully decorated and a great atmosphere. No overbearing music. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had steamed basmati rise, white lamb korma with a roti and a bottle of scrumpy jack. I left there stuffed. The staff were very courteous and helpful, you didn't feel crowded and hassled and they gave you excellent service. I will be recommending other in the future.
