Locale (Fulham)

I've known this venue for 5 years since it was Ciao, then Loco Locale and now just Locale! Went lots of times when it was Ciao and was always happy with the food and service. The first time I went as Loco Locale was great, however the second time we received poor service even worse food. Decided not to go back since then - too much of a risk of disappointment.

I totally disagree with the last comments. I have just moved to Fulham and I am so happy that Locale is going to be my local. On the few occasions that I have been there, I found the food wonderful, the service great and I am look forward to returning very soon.

As previous reviewer said, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Last time I went food had clearly been heated up in a microwave and was tasteless, the time before the food was fine. My waitress had a complete strop when I complained that my plate had not been warmed, replying "Whats the problem the food is hot isn't it!"

Loco Locale sometimes gets it just right - some other times it's a real disappointment. Had to send back poached eggs twice for breakfast because they were overcooked to be told that they had a problem with the kitchen not really co-operating (!). Then tried to book the outdoor space for dinner one night to be told that it's not company policy to book outside - is it a restaurant or a large american corporation I am dealing with here!!!!

Had Sunday lunch here recently and found it to be excellent. Service was very good and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and very authentic- I am italian and it rivalled 'home-cooked by mumma' quality. They are doing everything right.

Went for a sunday lunch outside. The service was a bit slow but the atmosphere was nice. I thought that the food was generally tastey but all of our main courses were disappointingly cold. Some dishes were good value, others topped what would be reasonably expected. Overall, not bad but not great either.
