Best quiche in Kensington...staff was friendly and efficient. Lovely spot to enjoy a bite to eat.

I can't imagine anyone finding The Muffin Man to be less than excellent. While nobody is perfect, I have no time to complain about a place which has so many fine qualities, beginning with the friendly people working there and continuing with the atmosphere and menu choices. I see there are tons of others who had experience similar to ours, which was in the summer of 2006. We came to The Muffin Man our first morning after discovering that the complimentary breakfast in our nearby hotel was terrible...and we continued to go there for every day of our visit. Except when we spent a few days in Scotland, that is. Then it was BACK to The Muffin Man!!

There's food, tea and drinks, but something's terribly missing...SERVICE. It is lousy service and that is no excuse for being busy. Also not recommending this place for people who are not English. Not value for money, money will be much well-spent at the nearby McDonalds instead.

I visited the Muffin Man for the first time and was impressed by the friendly service that i received as soon as I walked in. The staff are polite and are happy to change the order to suit your needs. Sandwiches are made fresh and tasted great.
The deco is very cosey and they have some great Pictures of the history of High St Kensington and Wrights Lane.
This place is recommended to everyone who visits kensington. Whether your hungry or just in need of a good cuppa!!

I really love going there, they are really accommodating and will adapt your order the best they can. I do however miss the variety of soups they use to have but they still remain yummy and home made.

My husband and I spent Valentines weekend in London and stayed at Copthorn Tara. The proximity and the friendliness of the staff at The Muffin Man Tea Shop had us spending every breakfast and two lunches with them. The ambience is warm and welcoming and they know how to make a good cup of tea. The prices are a tinch high for the fare, but the experience and the coziness of the surroundings make up for that in no time. If we ever stay at the Tara again, we will repeat our Muffin Man experience - no question.

I simply adore muffin man!! I was in London on holiday 12 yrs ago, I was still a child then, my family and I stayed at the London Tara hotel, just a few mins away from muffin man. We visited the place regularly for bkfast and tea. we all fell in love with this little pretty tea room.12 years later I was back in London (25.11.05), this time with my fiancé' who hates the smell of tea, but he patiently took me back to muffin man 7 times for bkfast and tea!!! He sat happily at table with me till I drank their own blend of tea and stuffed myself with their homemade cookies. The staff are so friendly and polite. I’m looking forward to my next holiday in London, simply to visit muffin man yet once again.
