We usually enjoyed a weekend lunch at the eateries at the National Maritime Musuem before the big refurbishments since the food was tasty and hearty.
Once this place was open we were quite keen to try it out. Unfortunately, the restaurant has a fair bit of room for improvement.
The decor of the place was a tad cheapy canteen looking and feeling.
The food was clean and cooked ok, but nothing special as the previous reviewer pointed out. I had the salmon, husband the burger and our daughter had some bland meal which I unfortunately could not remember but being a 4 year old, bland food is actually safe.
We considered eating the steak but were reluctant that given the price, the amount of food that would be on the plate would be too big to eat. We were kinda glad we did not order it as we noticed the next table ordered it and the steak plate was the size of a weightwatchers meal.
If I was planning to spend a signficant amount on food somewhere and not expect alot on my plate, fine I'd go to a fancy restaurant in Soho or somewhere renowned for it. Being a new brasserie and given the location, I was expecting something a tad heartier.
It's an ok place, but I can go to alot of other ok places around Greenwich without burning such a big hole in my pocket.

Four of us went to try this much needed addition to Greenwich's eateries. It started well, a lovely setting with views of the park, a good wine list and personable staff. Although the lighting was far too bright to create any sort of atmosphere. They definitely need to tone it down a few watts! Anyway the menu was beautifully presented and made our mouths water just reading the choices. Unfortunately we were forgotten about for at least 20 minutes. There were 4 members of staff on duty and being quite new it wasn't that busy, but we had to call someone over to take our order and no apologies were given. Two of us wanted the potted salmon but unfortunately there was only one left, so two of us had haddock fishcakes & the other in our party had the goat's cheese tart. The fishcakes were okay, good but nothing special. The goat's cheese was apparently excellent. But the potted salmon was basically a salmon pate, served cold with none of the lovely layers of butter you should have on anything potted. It was also meant to be served with soda bread but came with regular white. Three of us had the lamb burger with double cooked chips and another had the steak. The menu said the steak would come with 'potatoes of your choice' but she wasn't asked and was simply brought chips with the rest of us. Our burgers were okay, the buns were too big for the burger and again they were good but nothing special. The worst part was the chips which we had all looked forward to but were under cooked! Barely cooked I should say. A big disappointment. We told the waiter at the end of the meal having left most of them, and hadn't said anything earlier as we were too hungry to wait and would have been full by time they came. We did notice that after we had told the waiter the neighbouring table's chips came out looking much better! This place has excellent potential and as it's early days maybe it's still finding its way. I hope so as it's close to being very good but at the moment will have to settle for being okay.
