I went to Le Cercle for a friend's birthday, and although she told me it was tapas style, I didn't realize that it would be such small portions. For three people, we had 7 dishes, 3 desserts, and a glass of champagne each. The meat dishes were the best (the veggie options weren't made for a hungry person) and the service seemed very impatient. I would only recommend going there to see the space (very interesting decoration) and if you aren't very hungry.

I was happy to have been taken to Le Cercle, especially as I've always thought tapas as a formula has been one yet to prove itself in a serious restaurant format. Le Cercle has lots to recommend it, but the room is not part of that. The noise levels just do not suit the food experience. I've never eaten such sophisticated fare with music and such harsh ambience competing for my attention. I've never had to shout to get heard while negotiating this level of cuisine. It's like have a tsating menu at a top notch pizza express. We had a good time, but the food got lost in the mix due to the catastrophic acoustics. If you have a choice, go for a table in one of the niches.
Give the foie gras a miss - it's all brioche and a soupcon of pate. The salmon/lentil soup is OK, chicken basque very good and duck carpaccio as good as it could be. Wine list is limited but the selection excellent. Bottom line? if you're over 40 be prepared to feel old. At the end of the day, Tapas belongs in bars.

Went to Le Cercle for the first time on Saturday with my boyfriend and although everything we had was good, I wasn't particularly blown away by anything. Six tapas dishes, a bottle of wine, one cocktail, two more glasses of wine and a shared pudding came in at under £120 so fairly good value for the area and far cheaper than Club Gascon, its sister restaurant. The waiters were all very friendly and the decor of the restaurant was very nice, although I'm not personally a fan of basements for dinner.

We went to the famous Le Cercle on Saturday night as a bit of a treat and a posh night out. The service was charming and the room is still one of the most beautiful in London, very stylish and airy.
The food was fantastic, as always, and I must say that the new autumn dishes are even better than the ones on the previous menu. Try the Cassolette of pine morels if you go there!
We will go back for lunch with our daughter. They told us they have a complimentary menu for kids to introduce them to fine dining.
Overall, a really enjoyable restaurant.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday to Le Cercle.
The restaurant itself was really nice, and there was a very friendly atmosphere. The waiters were attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. They also brought her a dessert with a pink candle!
We had a great time and will definitely go again.

I dined at Le Cercle yesterday. I found the food disappointing - it arrived almost cold to our table (maybe due to the tapas portions which tend to get cold more quickly). I found that the fish dishes were generally good , but regretted trying the “Terroir” tapas: the “joue de cochon” was too chewy, the “saucisse de Morteaux” was too spicy (so tainting on everything you tasted afterwards) and the duck was far from memorable. On the positives, I liked the ambience, which is really relaxed, and the décor which is impressive. I also liked the desserts, specifically the chocolate fondant. But overall, I do not think I will ever go back.

The menu is creative and every course is delicious, not surprising knowing that they are the sister restaurant of the acclaimed Michelin-starred "Club Gascon".
They offer tapas size portions, so you can taste more dishes than usual. The service is extremely friendly and they will make sure you have a lovely meal. A wine list to die for with exceptional diversity.
Can’t really fault the place. A big thumbs up. Great menu, fantastic service, wonderful atmosphere.
