I went to C London (cipriani) last night with 3 friends. How anyone can complain about this place is beyond me. Yes, the prices are steep, but we knew that before we went through the revolving door. The service was excellent, the food was superb, and for a Tuesday night, the atmosphere was buzzing. I can see why this would not be everyones cup of tea as it's a noisy place with lots going on, but it is certainly not deserved of some of the ultra harsh comments on here. I'd hazard a guess to suggest that these are people who didn't know the normal clientele of the restaurant and were therefore taken aback by the prices and needed to justify themselves with finding fault. Trust me, if you are prepared to spend the money, the restaurant is well worth a visit.

A rare restaurant that is so consistently bad in every aspect. Arrogant and indifferent service, mediocre food, my risotto, extra 20 minutes, was overcooked and of a consistency suitable for a baby. Overly expensive for the quality and equally uncomfortable on the small, low chairs and tables. Four of us had lunch and none were impressed.

place was rammed with people who obviously don't read this site! I went on someone elses' nickel and still thought it was awful, mediocre food at laughable prices, well I could laugh because someone else was paying. As for service, verged between OK and incompetent and there's clearly an emphasis on turning tables. People watching entertains for all of about 5 mins providing you like heavily made up ladies of varying ages wearing very little. Still the punters keep on coming - why?

I went to Cipriani's today for lunch. I am very surprised to read bad reviews.

the food was excellent, waiters were very nice and attentive.

i have been to many london restaurants including nobu and claridges. cipriani's is most definitely up there with them all and i would compare it to san lorenzo's.

all courses were extremely filling and i could have eaten more of the chocolate cake :-)

The only good thing I remember from my night out there were the beautiful girls. Other than that the food was overpriced and the waiters were rude.

If you go to a high class restaurant you expect high class waiters and a great service. In Cipriani you get rude waiters and service that you expect at an all you can eat buffet.

Trust me don't waste your money on this place, if you want to see the beautiful girls you can watch fashion tv!

Entertaining proof that being rich is really no fun. So much surgery! So little class. Make sure that someone else pays. At least one of the waitresses is very good.

One thing that left me speechless was the rudeness of the waiters. I did not quite grasp what was going on. One kicked me on the shoulder (as some would on the street when passing by, trying to save ‘their’ space). I wanted to see and choose the dessert and asked to a waiter by the dessert buffet about the meringues. My English is not perfect, but that was the first time in 3 years I have been living here that I could not understand a word one said and asked if he could please repeat slowly. No, he took no notice and obviously had enough of this stupid man, who could not understand what ?!Abg[paso@ is.

We were eyed up and down when we declined to have champagne before the meal and did not drink more than 2 bottles of wine (between the 4 of us). I suppose these poor souls know how expensive this place is an have a grudge on everyone who can afford to purchase s*** for s*** lots of money. It is a shame the place was full and is though of as chic and classy.

Cipriani is essentially a sleazy, tacky clip-joint. I certainly didn't eat there by choice and if I never experienced the place again as long as I live it would be too soon. Hope this helps :)
