Whits

Having dined here approximately once a week for the last few months it doesn't really compare with many other eating establishments in Kensington.

The chef really is amazing. He uses fabulously fresh and imaginative ingredients and his jus and accompanying sauces to dishes are complex without ever being overpowering. He obviously really thinks about what he wants to create and is clearly a perfectionist.

Eva is a great front-of-house hostess; it is so refreshing to dine at a restaurant where someone understands English, understands the menu, the wine list and above all what the customer needs and wants.

Please eat here often. You will be doing yourself a disservice by not doing so.

The baked pear needs an award - it's devine!!

The problem with going to eat at Whits is that I want to choose everything on the menu. The chef offers powerful dishes for people who really enjoy and appreciate good food. Goose and lobster are affordable here and don't disappoint. The souffle cooked with a welsh rabbit twist is mouth watering. The menu is a treat, the portions substantial and the service is superb.

Absolutely fabulous! Excellent service, choice of menu- even the set menu, great wine and friendly, efficient service. A true find in Kensington, we went last Saturday and had a great evening. Eva is great in her front of house position. CArry on the good work - we look forward to another visit early in 2007.

Simply Wonderful! We have dined at Whits once a month for the last three months and every time the food has has deserved a "star" The menu changes often enough that it hasn't that stale feel about it. The wine list has something to match chefs latest addition. Service is top notch. I am very glad we have found a "local" that has delivered on all fronts every visit. Thank you Whits.

My favourite resaurant. Fantastic value, especially at lunch. The confit of pork belly is die for. The chef is seriously creative and the garnishes are meal in themselves.

Was recommended great wine by the glass.

Why pay silly prices when you are can eat at Whits.

I love this place!! I wish I'd known about it before. An imaginative menu wonderfully executed, charming service and great wine list.

Whit's deserves to be a huge success. I'm sad that we don't live near it, but I'll be returning as much as I can. I just hope that it's not considered too fancy for a neighbourhood restaurant. I think it's excellent value for money.
