Went last night for a friends birthday. It was the best dinner I've had in ages from start to finish.
Loved the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
I would definately recommend this plave to my friends.

I would say it is the only place in London that you could fee that you are not on London.
Very authentic Arabic food and good service.
We were a group 9 people celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We did not order the set menu; we just went for the ala carte menu and we were very surprise to see the size of each meal, it was huge in comparison to any other city restaurant that we have been.
We had a lovely meal and excellent service.
After our dinner we went down to the basement to continue our night. To our surprise it was belly dancing night and it was great venue.
The only bad point is we have to walk for 10 minutes from Farringdon Station, after having drunk 12 bottles of beer.

Extremely surprised to read these reviews. I don't usually write reviews but my experience of Darbucka is totally different. We had so much food that we were nearly full by the time the main course came. The food was delious and very fresh. I've travelled a lot in the Middle East and I would say that this food is very authentic. I found the staff to be warm and welcoming, again in a manner that is typically Middle Eastern. I am a regular customer at Darbucka. I go there because it is one of the few restaurants that offer a true authentic experience rather than a fake 'authentic' experience.

Lovely little place with a great atmosphere... could have 1 more wait staff on but all in all it was a great experience, BEAUTIFUL food and service with a smile. The 50% off deal was fantastic, and there was plenty there to eat. Will definately go back.

On arrival the place seemed ok..well thats after getting through the rude security! The place seemed ok and quite interesting to look at despite being a bit out dated. Our large group sat down for the waiter to take our order, 15mins later our drinks were ordered soft drinks and alcohol. Not only were the soft drinks watered down they where bringing double drinks without consent (this was not discovered to the bill arrived!!) we then orederd our meze. To make this short when the food arrived .. -it wasn't enough food -service was rubbish -we all went home hungry -£40pp -fire alarm went off and scared all customers out!

went to darbucka with a group of 15 friends or so for my 30th bday. the heating wasnt working, the service was slow despite the fact there were no other customers at the time we were eating and they were still slow. set menu is a rip off, we had also reserved an area at the bar but when we got downstairs the bouncer said i did not have a reservation, i had previously called to confirm and i also had email confirmation. the staff are incredibly rude and arrogant, they kept making us move and made me feel that i had made a mistake with the booking rather than admitting they were at fault. we spent over £800 during the evening, paid an extortionate service charge on the food bill and received very poor service and attitude. the venue is actually quite nice but it is let down by the staff
