Went there for dinner with a huge group of people. The restaurant accommodated well for all 30 of us. We had the set menu which meant there was copious amounts of food coming our way all through the night. The set menu includes starters, main course and mint tea an baklava. However, they forgot about the baklava even though we went downstairs to the bar bit after dinner.
Drinks are very expensive so I suggest you drink elsewhere before coming to the restaurant.
The bar downstairs is cosy and comfortable.

A place to remember.
We are an average couple who loves to eat good food, meet good people and enjoy our dance.
We had enough with the normal pubs, bars, restaurants and Night clubs.
First we need to drink somewhere, then dine somewhere, followed by dance somewhere and in the end of the day you spent further and did not enjoy the music and to top it up you will find your self picking up your staff and leaving because the place to crowded and there is lots of fighting.
Then, one day we discovered Darbucka, in the night of my best mate Birthday party.
What is better than to find a place, where you can drink, dine and then dance and have a life band and belly dancers perform for you? No where except Darbucka.
Once you are in the restaurant in the first floor ( Darbucka Gallery), you will see the difference between this restaurant and others, they display beautiful painting for different artist and also they play Jazzy, Bossa Nova style Music and they have one of the best Steak I have ever had in life, tender, Juicy and good size for what I paid for.
Once we finished the Dinner around 9:00 the party has started in Darbucka bar, we could hear the music and people getting so excited, we decided to finish our meal and head to the basement where we found a big surprise waiting for us, the place was very beautiful and definitely had the Arabic atmosphere and it had the right vibes.
We could not ask for better venue, the people are very friendly and the owner he is always there making sure that you are happy, in fact we got a pot of Mint Tea on the House and Baglawa (Arabic Sweet) Yummy & amazing.
This place is highly recommended, if you are a lone, couple or in a group there is always something for you.

I had quite a different experience. I went with a group of friends to an event in the downstairs bar, we decided to have a meal beforehand in the Gallery Bistro. The atmosphere was wonderful, slick service, food on time, fresh and tastey. We saw a band called Arabracadbra who were amazing.

Disappointed.
We booked a table at Darbucka for my partner's birthday - as suggested, we booked in advance (2 weeks!) and I mentioned it was a special occasion.
On arriving at the restaurant, they insisted they had no record of our booking - not a good start. Service throughout was laid-back to the point of disinterest - please take the comments about 'special service' on this site and Darbucka's site with a pinch of salt.
For example, one of my friends ordered spicy sausages, meant to come with chips. When the rest of us were eating and she still didn't have her chips, she asked a waiter (very politely) to be told brusquely 'Yeah, they're coming'. Ten minutes later she asked another waiter, who seemed bemused and ran off, returning a while later with spicy potatoes (no explanation given).
Also, when we ordered wine to start with, they said it wasn't worth looking at the wine list as they only really had the house wine. Food was ok, but overpriced and the hot stuff wasn't terribly hot. As one of our less tactful guests commented to me 'You get the same food for less than half the price in Dalston'.
Finally when we went downstairs, the bar was nearly empty but still they had managed to reserve us the worst seats. I had to make two requests for a shisha pipe, which took ages to arrive. Finally, I ordered a champagne cocktail for my partner (to make up for the experience!) to be told 'Oh, I don't think we have any champagne'. When I didn't want a substitute for champagne in the half-made cocktail, they finally managed to dig some out... Sorry, but we were not at all impressed (although we wanted to be), and we won't be going back.
