ASK (Kew)
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
My husband and I decided to take our 2 children for lunch at ASK in Kew this afternoon. We decided to have lunch as the restaurant wasn't busy at all so we thought service would be reasonably prompt. As soon as we walked through the door our waitress seemed as though she didn't want us there and we were immediately made to feel unwelcome. We ordered from the children's menu as well as food for ourselves and although the children's starter arrived very quickly, we were left waiting for nearly and hour until the rest of the food arrived. We never once got an apology, until the very end when I actually had to complain that not once had anyone apologised. After waiting for 30 mins I asked how long it would be - 7 mins was the answer, After another 10 mins I asked again and was told very abruptly that other people had ordered before us and were waiting so we'd have to wait until they'd been served- still no apology. When the food did eventually arrive we weren't able to eat much as our children had been seated in their highchairs for nearly and hour and were desperate to leave. A very unpleasant experience.
