Very Poor
Enough Said
Never going there again and have a good chuckle when I drive past.
Being Greek myself its hard to give negative feedback, but unless the owner starts checking out the competition he wont be thhere for much longer./

This was without question the worst Greek restaurant I can remember attending. As a regular at many of North London's Greek eateries, I was astonished at the low standard, poor value for money and indifferent service at Fanari. I'd have thought they might be more competitive, seeing as I know of at least 4 restaurants within a mile of this place which offer a far better Meze experience.
We were a 4some with 2 opting for a fish meze and 2 for meat. The starters were all smaller than any other restaurant in the area, the fish was unimpressive and not particularly large in quantity and the meat course of the meat meze was an absolute disgrace. 2 pieces each of pork souvlakia, 1 tiny piece of bird each (was it chicken or sparrow, I'm not sure) and a tiny keftede (meatball). Hardly value for £18-20 per head (not includig drinks or service).
The final insult was to have 10% service added to the bill, which, needless to say I did not pay. There was no "service" to speak of all night.
A thoroughly unpleasant dining experience.
Needless to say I will never be returning and will instead be passing my custom on to the far superior eateries in the same area.

I am a big fan of greek food and went there with my husband.
I don't understand why the reviews are so good here. The food was okay and the atmosphere was good but it was a bit overpriced and nothing really special.
Well.. I wouldn't go back there since I know the better one.

A group of us went to Fanari for Sunday lunch. I have to congratulate everyone that works there. The food was top quality and so was the service. We all had meze, so you can appreciate that there was a lot of food there! From starters to fresh fish to meat, it was all truly delicious. Pricewise, very reasonable. Considering that we were dining for about 3 hours and our stomachs had stretched to their limits, £23 pounds per person -service included- was pretty good. Definitely recommended.

Based on a late January visit, the music and party atmosphere are real catches at this popular community venue. The food takes 2nd place and you should watch out for the huge number of courses in a simple mezze order. Otherwise, recommended.

Having been a regular customer for just over a year, this traditional greek restaurant gives you a dining experience like no other with its very filling, but excellent meze.
The live music is definitely a major plus, with its owner giving a sing and dance along type atmosphere. Seating a bit tight, but i think that with a place as popular as this is, and with the type of atmosphere it creates you can appreciate that. We've even made a few friends from there! A very friendly atmosphere overall combining both staff and customer. Open kitchen also a major plus.
Highly Recommended

As a fairly regular visitor to this restaurant, I am constantly impressed by the quality of the food. The meze is superb, every course a delight from the unbelievably tender and tasty octopus to the incredible slow cooked melt in the mouth lamb souvla. There is so much good stuff on the menu I could go on, but the thought literally has my mouth watering.
