Amaretto

Excellent!

I took my parents here recently, they are well travelled in Italy, and are used to eating in excellent restaurants, so they were always going to be tough to please.

However I'm happy to say that Amaretto more than impressed - excellent, genuine tasty food, which was cooked with care and attention. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing and prices just right.

I'm not usually a person who writes restaurant reviews on websites, but this was the best I have visited in quite some time, so felt that it was only right that I should.

I'll be back again and again!

Myself and my wife recently had an early dinner here before a show and managed to take advantage of a 50% discount offered for an online booking. The food was excellent, the service very good and they got us away with pleny of time for the show. Great value and would recommend it for anyone looking for a good meal at reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere.

Me and my wife after raccomandation from friends that that have eaten at Amaretto bookeda table on friday night. Well we were not disappointed,the food was very tasty, the service was second to none, the manager and his staff were very pleasing and good at their job although the restaurant was very busy they had time for everyone. We defenetly will go back and recommend it to all our friend. Thank you Amaretto.

My husband and I have been regulars for many years.The food is of an excellent standard and the service is also excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Would recommend to anyone without a doubt!!

This was by far the most disappointing restaurant I've been after falling for all the rave reviews on this web site.

Firstly, the restaurant changed the terms of use of the Taste London card when we phoned up to book. We thought, that's bad but we'll still go.

Secondly, when we got there at 10pm, the unfriendly waitress lied to us saying that the kitchen was to close at 10.30. Rather surprisingly they still entertained patrons arriving after 10.30.

Thirdly, as a gesture to kick us out of the restaurant we were brought our bill with our dessert without asking for it.

And finally, the waiter had the oddasity to type in the gratituity amount into the chip and pin machine and we innocently approved it thinking it was the amount on the bill (which already included a service charge).

What crap service!! Never go there unless you want good food but extremely bad service.

I took my girlfriend here for Valentines day with not too sure what to expect. We arrived late for the table booking (usual tube delays) but as we'd phoned ahead the staff had kindly kept a table for us.

The staff were very polite and didn't pester us at all throughout the meal, letting us take our time and enjoy the meal.

The food was delicious and well prepared and even without the 50% off offer being on the overall price was more than acceptable. We both had a great time and we'll definitely be going back again.

My daughter and I ate on a Monday evening.

Amaretto gains a lot of lunchtime custom, so booking is advised. The efficiency of their evening service reflects their busy lunchtimes, and eating on a 50% Off basis made the value for money all the better. Lovely fresh bread and olives with a shared parma ham starter, monkfish and garlic prawns for mains were excellent and a couple of glasses of house wine. This is an unpretentious restaurant that delivers excellent food. Only recommendation from an ambience point of view is not to sit at the table next to the hoist to the kitchen below, with the

accompanying intercom, but this was a minor point, almost enhancing the charm of the place.
