Went there of Friday with some friends. We eat in top restaurants in Lahore regularly so we went with some scepticism, even though the chefs are supposed to be from some of those establishments.
The whole experience was excellent. The Chillli Chutney Sizzler with fresh Tandoori Roti is a speciality not to be missed and I will also mention the delicious Gajar Halwa (even though I am not supposed to eat sweet dishes).
Well done to Chilli Chutney staff and management.

I read alot on the Chilli Chutney website about fusion and having been to some of the restaurants in Tooting which provide authentic food but no quality or service, decided to try it.
No doubt Chilli Chutney has achieved the exquisite flavours of live cooking that is the hallmark of Tooting Lahori eateries but to do this with the quality and ambience of an upmarket restaurant means that Chilli Chutney is a total eating experience.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great new tastes in an environment where you can take friends and family.

It is very gratifying to know that there is such a high quality restaurant in Streatham, which obviates the need to go to town and pay town prices.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a quiet and leasurely meal on a Tuesday evening and got the very best from the chefs. All the food is cooked fresh to order and one can tell from the mouth-watering flavours.
We had a full spread of starters, main course and sweet, with a couple of glasses of wine and spent less than £50 between us.

I visited this restaurant recently with my husband and had a nice meal although I think their prices are a bit odd, £3.55 for a portion of boiled rice is pretty steep. It is a very nice restaurant and the service is exceptional but I have to say that you can get a better curry across the road at Spice Cottage although the surroundings aren't as salubrious.

Firstly, I must object to the review displayed below. It is just plain wrong. The chicken is some of the finest quality I have ever tasted, especially at Indian restaurants where chicken is notoriously tough to pull off correctly. They made it look easy. The thing about Chilli Chutney is that there is a touch of class without pretentiousness. They do what they do, and they do it well. I have been there many a time since I moved to Streatham and they have been nothing but kind, personal, and the food is so good that it goes without saying. What's more, is that it is utterly refreshing to be able to go to an Indian restaurant without fears of regretting it in the morning. I would compare chilli chutney to many similar italian places, such as Strada, where the ambience is great, the food is far above par, and the staff will treat you well regardless of how many ill-mannered customers are ruining their day. Kudos to chilli chutney. Keep up the good work.

I have never in my entire life been treated so abysmally in a restaurant. We went last night and three of us ordered the same chicken dish. All three arrived tough and stringy, so we complained and three more were brought out. They tasted even worse. We asked if we could have a discount on the bill. The waiter refused over and over again, then eventually stormed off. He claimed that the management wasn't available and the bill could not be adjusted. Then a member of staff who was clearly a manager came to our table and once again, flatly and rudely refused to offer any sort of apology or discount. He then began to bargain with us and offered to take some money off the chicken. By this point we had been in debate with the staff for about 45 minutes, so we paid up and left in abject fury. I have never complained in a restaurant before - but having worked in several, I know how you are supposed to treat complaints. Rudeness, lies, and aggressive bargaining is not part of the service. Absolutely awful. Never ever go to this restaurant

We went to chilli chutney for our anniversary last week, and i have got to tell you guys that it was a fantastic evening, the food was great and so was the service. I am recomending chilli cvhutney to all my friends who are looking for indian/ pakistani flavours with just the right level of spicyness :)
