Camerino

I have eaten lunch at Camerino at least 10 times in the last year. I cannot express any other way than to say that Camerino restaurant is second to none for a truly welcoming and delicious place to be. The ultimate place for a romantic escape from the office, or the place to impress that important client. The place works like clockwork. Obviously the owner and operators know exactly what they are doing.

As it was my friend’s birthday on Saturday, we had pre-booked to see a show and wanted dinner beforehand. After much searching on this site, we decided on Camerino.

The menu was superb for the venue; we all chose two dishes from the set menu available. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was 'spot on' and overall the value for money was excellent.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant, it is a must... I will definitely be returning on my next trip.

To sum up this restaurant one can only Sensational. Decor was superb and the staff were very attentive and friendly, not a large restaurant but that ensured that service was of a very high standard. The food was sublime and really took our breath away, i would definately recomend the fish (especially the Seabream) as our party nearly all had different dishes and we were all very impressed. Overall, one of the best restaurants i have been to.

I went to Camerino on Valentines Day. They had a 3 course set menu with a caviar canape and champagne on arrival. The atmosphere was lovely with dimmed lighting and candles. The food was well presented and tasted equally as good. I had the ravioli for starter and the sea bass for main which were both great and my boyfriend enjoyed his scallops for starter and the venison he had for main was so tender and tasty. The desserts were also very good. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to going back.

I visited this restaaurant for the first time with my wife for Valentine's evening. I can only say that not only was the food excellently prepared and of undoubted quality, but that the service and attention to detail by all the staff made it a most pleasurable evening .Will definitely be returning for some fine Italian hospitality.

After the amazing write ups the restaurant recieved I decided to skip San Lorenzo and check out this "amazing food". I can only assume that there has been a change of chef!. Most of the food is barely adequate much less good. The Pasta is fresh and perfectly al dente but my lobster drowned in a sea of so much garlic you could barely tell what you were eating. The liver was over cooked and the spinach cold. To cap it all they added the wrong (more expensive) wine to the bill which took 20 minutes to produce which was longer than it took to freshly produce the main course. One waiter and average food on a Saturday evening? Some food critics are easy to please.

I am back in London after spending some time abroad. I went to Camerino last week after quite a long time and, again, I have to say that I had a great evening thanks to the delicious food and great ambience. The service was superb as usual and thanks everyone for remembering me! The complimentary welcome back mirto was delicious and it was just the perfect way to end my meal. I definitely consider Camerino my favourite Italian restaurant in London!

I've been to Camerino twice now and on both occasions the food and service was excellent. The freshly prepared beetroot filled tortelli makes for the perfect starter and is one of the nicest dishes I've ever had. For my main course I had the lamb shank which was also very good. Its slightly theatrical decor and welcoming atmosphere make this a very pleasant place to dine and my friends and I have agreed to come here again soon.

Nice room. Genuinely fine food. Certainly as good as Latium, Allora and the others in this "top-of-the-middle new wave italians" market. Service incredibly irritating and pretty incompetent, though.

The food would make me want to return, but the service was hopeless. Not rude, they're just no good at it. So I won't go back.
