The first thing I would say is that the location is really central and is a stone throw from the Soho. The decor was pleasant but it's a narrow and deep plan building so did kind of feel like we were eating in a corridor. The food was a very tasty and was the high light of the whole experience. The main problem is the size of the portions, they are really small and some of my friends had to resort to fast food about two hours later. I felt very embarrassed when the main course arrived. I was also hungry when I left after a three course meal. Some of the staff were friendly but believe many of the waiters could be taught some basic customer service skills.

It took a long time to get served and therefore the bottles of wine kept flowing which made the final bill pretty expensive. The manager was standing nearby with an untrusting smirk. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone to be honest I think London offers much better competition than here.

This is the third time that I have been here in the last 6 months, having on each occasion being taken by a (different) host.

This is the first time I have ever been moved to write a review on a restaurant on this or any other site.

The menu is unimaginative - but you know what you are getting; the sadness is that it isn't much different to many other Italian restaurants.

The unforgiveable thing is the service. The waiters are plenty in number (especially as there are usually few diners) - but they are inattentive, cavalier and disinterested. They are negligent in their task and the term "service" seems foreign to them. How sad.

I have been to this restaurant both before and after the new management has taken over. Unfortunately, it appears the change has only made the place worse!

The structure of the menu remains similar to before with similar pricing. However, the standard of the food that came out was disappointing. The menu was dull and desperately needed some revival. No wonder the place was empty for the entire duration of my meal.

I was in a party of 3 thus we were able to try out a substantial amount of the menu. What the place lacks in quality it makes up with quantity. I was given a slab of tuna which was so overcooked that I could not have told whether it was tinned tuna they used. My company's sea bass was swimming in a pool of oil.

Before management changed, I used to LOVE the dessert part of the restaurant as I have a sweet tooth and the puddings before used to be made on the spot. However, this time round, I was given some distinctively average cakes and tarts which were cold and tepid.

Head chef has obviously changed as all the dishes ordered were elegantly presented. This time round, both our starters and mains were "garnished" with chopped parsley all over the plates and icing sugar for puds - something that I expect from the kitchen of a pub!
