The first thing I would say is that the location is really central and is a stone throw from the Soho. The decor was pleasant but it's a narrow and deep plan building so did kind of feel like we were eating in a corridor. The food was a very tasty and was the high light of the whole experience. The main problem is the size of the portions, they are really small and some of my friends had to resort to fast food about two hours later. I felt very embarrassed when the main course arrived. I was also hungry when I left after a three course meal. Some of the staff were friendly but believe many of the waiters could be taught some basic customer service skills.
It took a long time to get served and therefore the bottles of wine kept flowing which made the final bill pretty expensive. The manager was standing nearby with an untrusting smirk. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone to be honest I think London offers much better competition than here.

This is the third time that I have been here in the last 6 months, having on each occasion being taken by a (different) host.
This is the first time I have ever been moved to write a review on a restaurant on this or any other site.
The menu is unimaginative - but you know what you are getting; the sadness is that it isn't much different to many other Italian restaurants.
The unforgiveable thing is the service. The waiters are plenty in number (especially as there are usually few diners) - but they are inattentive, cavalier and disinterested. They are negligent in their task and the term "service" seems foreign to them. How sad.

I have been to this restaurant both before and after the new management has taken over. Unfortunately, it appears the change has only made the place worse!
The structure of the menu remains similar to before with similar pricing. However, the standard of the food that came out was disappointing. The menu was dull and desperately needed some revival. No wonder the place was empty for the entire duration of my meal.
I was in a party of 3 thus we were able to try out a substantial amount of the menu. What the place lacks in quality it makes up with quantity. I was given a slab of tuna which was so overcooked that I could not have told whether it was tinned tuna they used. My company's sea bass was swimming in a pool of oil.
Before management changed, I used to LOVE the dessert part of the restaurant as I have a sweet tooth and the puddings before used to be made on the spot. However, this time round, I was given some distinctively average cakes and tarts which were cold and tepid.
Head chef has obviously changed as all the dishes ordered were elegantly presented. This time round, both our starters and mains were "garnished" with chopped parsley all over the plates and icing sugar for puds - something that I expect from the kitchen of a pub!

I went to Camerino with a business associate for dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Lighting is bright and unimaginative. The waiters seemed disorganised and badly trained though keen enough to please. I had to ask for both a menu and a wine list. The menu is very traditional Italian fare without much sign of flair. My guest and I both ordered pasta to start - I chose spaghetti al ragu, he took parpadelle with seafood. The starters took ages to come. When it arrived my spaghetti was passable (no better) but tepid. My colleagues starter was quite revolting and definitely cold. I like pasta al dente but this was ridiculous - it was partially cooked. We had both ordered simple grilled veal chops which were generously proportioned, cooked as requested (pink) and really very good. My guest had a side order of broccoli which was slushy and overcooked. The wine list is relatively short, exclusively Italian and reasonably priced. They decanted the Prunotto Barbaresco 2004 without being asked. But I dread to think what the service would have been like on a Saturday night - I shan't go back, it's just not good enough overall and not, it would seem, well managed.

I took my wife there last night after a matinee trip to see "We will Rock You". I had picked it from the Internet and because we like Italian food and there is a nice Italian wine list including from Piemonte. The service was awful , i had to ask twice for the wine list and when the waiter came and took our food order he then forgot tp process it to the kitchen so we were left waiting nearly an hour for our starter. Apologetic when i complained but there does not seem to be anyone in charge and waiters wandering about do nothing in particular rather than knowing what is going on. The main course was good but the poor service ruined the meal. A great pity as we were looking forward to it as we arenot in London that often.

I booked my spanish lady-friend, and another Spanish couple in for a Valentines dinner at this restaurant, on the internet after seeing some reviews. All I can say, is that it was most disapointing. We arrived early and I asked if we should come back a little later, the waitress said, no it was OK, we were seated, but the (restricted) Valentine menu did not arrive for about 25 minutes, my friends wine and coke another 15 minutes, and my beer another 10 minutes later. There were a choice of I think 1 of three in each of the courses. After ordering the starters came and were OK, a reasonable time later the main course came, my friends said their's were fine, but my fillet steak was cold, so I sent it back, the same steak returned, warmer this time, but of course overcooked. Desserts were reportedly fine. When the bill came it amounted to 244 pounds including a 12 and a half percent service charge. When the waitress came and asked if all was well, I told her I was disapointed, she showed concern but did not offer to take any action. There were about 36 to 38 covers at the time we started our meal, with I think 7 waiters/waitresses, to wait almost 1 hour for ones first drink, and to serve cold food in what is not a ceap restaurant, is not acceptable.

We ate here on Valentine's night and the food was excellent BUT we were not told when we booked that it was a set meal and the menus had no prices on them. Also, we were presented with a cocktail on arrival and assumed it was part of the set meal, however when we received the bill, we found that we had been charged separately for them at £7 a cocktail. Because it was Valentine's night my husband did not want to complain and spoil the ambiance of the evening but we came away feeling that we had been ripped off.
