Can't believe people that don't like this restaurant!

Sure - it's loud, it's noisy but that's exactly one of their key selling points. If you're looking for a quiete place so you can whisper in your partner's ears than this isn't the restaurant for you. This is for people who enjoy their food, who enjoy a lively environment and who do not want to sit somewhere where you can hear the grandfather clock ticking away in the background and get served by soul-less waiters.

This is all about the hustle and bustle of the restaurant world, filled with people that care very much about the food industry and the experience their customes recieve.

Food has always been of very high quality, service always attentive.

If sometimes you have to wait for a while before orders are taken or drinks served - that's because the place is always full!! I've been there on Tuesday nights, Wednesday lunchtimes and Saturday nights - one key similarity between the services? They're always rammed!! Can you guess why? Perhaps it's because people love it and they keep on coming back!!!?

For people that don't like this wonderful place - get a life and stay in to eat in front of your TV - there you'll be peaceful and quiete!

Awfull awfull awfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very un organise, we waited over 20 minutes to order our drinks, we were not being attended to at all, we had to wait a further 15 minutes to order our food, when it came it was the worst lamb rack that i have had in my life!!!!!!! It was tastless, there was no flavour, where on earth did they get the lamb from?

The wine was just as bad, the tables are too close to each other, you cannot have a conversation with your companion without shouting. Please do no go to this restaurant as i found it a complete waste of your money and time.

As it was our Wed Aniv, thought we'd give this place a try. The atmosphere was brilliant, the food superb. thought at first it was a bit expensive, but a couple of weeks later, got in touch with 'Tony'. I had been overcharged, but , within hours, refund was in my account.

Thats what I call service. Wish you were my 'local', I'd be there all the time. Thanks guys.

Visiting London for the first time in years. Looking for a place for seven of us to eat , including two children. Doorman at Harrods told us to try the restaurant even though we had not booked.

What a wonderful welcome we received. Nothing was too much trouble. A table was assembled for us all in the time it took for us to order drinks at the bar even though they where busy.

The atmosphere was amazing. The singing superb and the food to die for.

We couldn't fault it. Something really special which added to our three day stay.

Would we go back? You bet we would!

This has to be one of the worst restaurants in London. From start to finish you feel like you are being taken for a ride. The so called ambience that apparently other reviewers like so much is a very disturbing one. I can only agree with the other reviewer, one waiter was shouting , singing and talking to us in italian all the time. We are Dutch and do not know a word in italian. We left right after the starter as the " ambience " was getting on our nerves. We cannot believe that other customers did not complain. The food is very standard. If ou like good food and real ambience than avoid this place. It is like other many tourist traps in London only this comes with a nutty waiter.

I really cannot believe that these positives reviews are genuine. I went to this restaurant for the first time today and I was shocked. The manager showed us our table singing loud and shoutingout very loud to the other staff. It was really awful. I am Italian myself and found the whole thing extremely irritating.I have been dining at very good restaurants all over the world but this one was the worst. During our dinner the manager kept singing loudly and shouting like he was performing for

his " public". Sale e Pepe is just a tourist trap, they do not have any respect for the customers. If you think that this place has an Italian atmosphere then you have never been to Italy. Besides the awful manager, the food was just average. Surely not worth the money. We left earlier as expected as we could not stand the managers behaviour, singing and shouting all the time. Actually, we asked him kindly to turn off the volume of his singing ( hoping that he would get the message ) but he just said " this is a happy place " not even apologizing for it. Well, it might be a happy place for this guy but surely not for his customers who want to dine. This kind of behaviour you do not even find in the cheapest pizza place. Again , the food is so average! One thing is for sure, this place if it would be in Italy with this awful manager and food would close in 2 days. A tourist trap - nothing else.

haven't been for years - the best place to eat in London - we had many wonderful meals there our kids grew up with Sale e Pepe - we went to London a few years ago and couldn't find the restaurant - it looked like a block of flats - we thought you had disappeared forever - thank heavens I have found you - made my year - this is the worst year of my life ever until today, Will be with you next time I am in the UK.

Excellent restaurant tucked away off Sloane St. Friendly staff, great food, good/ affordable wine list and super ambience. It's very Italian and the staff are all charismatic. Recommended!

This is one of the best restaurant's in London in my opinion!

I have been there 4 times in total now. It was my dad that originally recommended I try it and I can't keep away now. It is not particularly local to me either as I live in North West London but it really is worth the journey.

1) The Staff are wonderful. From the point of phoning up to make a resevation to leaving the restaurant. They are charming, friendly and go that extra mile to make sure your evening is fantastic. They give it a real italian feel as well!! For my mums birthday they stood around the table and sang happy birthday and took photos for us (even though they were rushed off there feet and the restaurant was full!). The atmosphere is superb, it is quite noisy but I like that as it works well with the entertainment by the waiters and the decor is absolutely beautiful which again gives it a lovely traditional italian touch!

2) The food is superb. I am guilty of ordering the same over and over again but I just can't help it! And as for the prices, 100% for value for money. Portion sizes are excellent and the quality of the food is very fresh and tastes very homemade!

This restaurant certainly is a winner in my opinion! If i had to find a fault the only thing I could probably say is that the tables for 2 are a little too close together but then again it is a very small restaurant.
