White Fish

This is a restaurant producing fairly ordinary food at fairly extraordinary prices. The waitresses and the owner are attentive throughout the meal interrupting conversation at will to prompt a comment out of the customers. We ordered house white and the owner came over to offer us a choice of wines - how thoughtful we thought - until we saw the bill and realised that we had unwittingly changed our order to a rather more expensive wine than the house wine on the menu that we thought we had asked for. This left a rather nasty taste in the mouth.

A splendid choice if you want to pay £14 for bog standard fish and chips, £6 for a starter that might easily have come from the budget party range in 'Iceland' and vastly overpriced wines.
