After having a bad experience at Spice World a day before (went to london for 2 nights), I thought to try this restaurant. Walked in with my family and restaurant was bit desserted (may be sunday night). Ambience of the restaurant was not that great. Thinking that hopefully I have not made another mistake coming to this restaurant, I ordered my food.

Starters were so delicious that I was forced to ask for another plate. Main course (veg) was also very good. Naan bread was soft and freshly prepared. Rice was properly cooked. Really felt satisfied after having my dinner here. I enjoyed every bit of it. Although staff is not very friendly and a bit arrogant but still I recommend this restaurant for its lovely food.

I had a very bad experience while visiting this place early this month. The food was tasty but not authentic. The service was discriminatory. I wish there was a place to add the video for you all to hear the person saying "you are a low life". I really did not expect to be so humiliated in a developed country like the United Kingdom.

It was about 1pm or so and away form home for almost a week. When I saw the restaurant and the went through the menu, I wanted to eat Samosa Chat. Went inside and found that the place looked clean. I ordered Samosa Chat. The waiter did not know what I was talking about. I explained what it was but failed. The person in the counter thought I was ordering "Chai", finally I settled asking him to give me Samosa and Aloo Chat separately. I could see my decision to have this offended him. Then he asked what is your main course. I said, I was only interested in having Aloo Chat. He responded saying that he would not serve me. I was surprised to discover later that the restaurant considered Aloo Chat and Samosa as Appetizer and they would not serve without the main course.

I certainly understand every business has their own rules and regulation, but a restaurant which has a big sign that says "Take Away Food Available" chooses not to serve over suggesting a take out, make me wonder if the Indian Cuisine is only interested in serving non-indians.

Finally I requested to give me a take out and discovered later that there was no spoon or napkins.

Very good restaurant!

I went here for a late lunch before heading back to Leeds by coach and this place is definitely a gem! I ordered the lamb biryani and it came with a vegetable curry that had such an amazing flavour. thumbs up to the staff and the chefs =]

I visited this restaurant with my extended family in July 2010. My son had just been confirmed, we are catholics, at Westminster Cathedral and there were over twenty members of my extended family. We stumbled across this restaurant by accident and were not disappointed. This restaurant catered for all of us, my son's great grandma is 84 and the youngest son in the party was 3.

The older generation of my family are very fussy about what they eat, so I was concerned, but i was need not have worried, the food was outstanding and very much to all our tastes. The service was attentive but not over bearing, the experience was excellent.

So much so that as a family we have decided to visit the restaurant in December for my sons 16th birthday.

Well worth a visit.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant last night - The staff were really friendly and very efficient. They were attentive but not intrusive - my husband had a Jalfrezi with rice and I had the Lamb Madras - both really good, qualty of the meat was great. While waiting for our meal we had a couple of poppadoms which came with the usual sauces but was really nice. It was quiet for a saturday night, but saying that all the tables upstairs where we were sat seemed to be rotating quite well. We would definately go back and recommend to friends and family.

I was so very impressed. I had booked a table, but on arrival at 6:30 wondered why I had bothered, the place was almost deserted. "Oh, dear!", I thought. I needn't have worried. Within minutes, it started to fill...and fill..and fill.

Despite being up to capacity, it was faultless. The delicious vegetable samosa came with a salad that was worth eating, unlike the usual half-hearted efforts. The balti prawn main course was equally delicious, with a delightful, rich piquant sauce.

The service was friendly, but not overly obtrusive. All in, I cannot fault the place...oh maybe one thing, as far as I can tell, there is only one lavatory per gender...could lead to queuing!

I shall definitely be going again and have recommended it to all my friends.

Went for dinner with family. We were immediately ushered to the basement to sit even though there was seating on the street level. Attempted to order rice as a side dish while family was ordering larger meals. I was told by manager to leave because I did not order a full dinner.
