Was for the first time at Dover Street two nights ago.

OH MY GOD, it was like in a old German movie just after the second world war.

Food absolutely disgusting. Cold dishes, absolutely disgusting house wine (white and red), Music pretty good.

Dj was pretty cool and doormen as well.

Well, better go to SUBWAY by a sandwich, pay your entrance and enjoy what is enjoyable: LIVE MUSIC.

Really unique vibe there!

There were some londoners in their 60's dancing and having fun. For sure they're going to this bar almost every night, and it's always great to find regular local clients and not only tourists or occasional clients.

I had a really nice evening. The band was "goodish" though, but listening to live music is always worth it!

My god what an establishment, the worst that i have been to,

it looked like a cheap blue light themed strip club, the food was ****

the service ****, the music ****, the management had no clue of anything

after all that me and my 3 friends still got a bill worth over 280 pounds for a really really disatrous night.

definitely never AGAIN!.

I had heard a lot about Dover Street so decided to go there and check it out with my girlfriend on Saturday night! We had an amazing time....the food was great (I recommend the King Prawns and Fillet Steak!) and the atmosphere was so much fun....I loved it!....definitely going back!

Went there last week for the first time after wanting to go for ages. Turned out to be even better than expected all round. Will certainly be a regular now.

Went there for NYE and had really good food and drinks, and the music was extremely good. We danced all night away and had a fantastic night.

Went here last night for girls night out as its meant to be a London institution. We were extremely let down - by everything. The decor and overall atmosphere seem cheap and dated (as do the clientele and that's putting it nicely). The food was average, lukewarm and overpriced and the live music average and blaring. The whole evening reminded us of what Butlins must be like. If you're looking for a classy, sophisticated night out, be warned - this is not it. Go next door to Mahiki instead!

if i only had read the comments here before going there...

Booked in advance from Germany to spend a good night out.

Entrance was OK despite the fact that we got a table where we could not see the band, even if we were one of the first guests.

The bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but that is the only + on the staff. All others must have been amateurs, broken glasses more than once. The highlight was the permanent offering of a black pepper mill, we felt like in an italian pizzeria in the 70s.

Food was all below average quality, small in size and mostly cold. (wonder if they do it inhouse at all)

We were so disappointed that we left before the music started. Will never go there again, thats for sure.

well, dont now how to start.

I have been going this place for a year every week with my friend to listen to music and dance, and then one day, as usual we went there to enjoy our time, doormen stopped us and told that we not allowed to go there,JUST LIKE THAT. We wear so angry, to be treated with no respect. We are mature ladies and dont like to go places where only youngsters. Dover Street is our age group people and we felt comfortable there. To be honest that was the only place where we used to enjoy our time. And few times when i tried to go there he still tried to stop and showing that he is right to do that and he can let in who he wants.

I just like to hear some comments is it acceptable ? And how i can complain about it. it is breaking all my self confidence and i feel i am getting depressed about that.
