King Sitric

It's been a while since I'd been in to King Sitric - I used to live in the area so it was our local for a couple of years . The food and service were always pretty much OK but what a change since I was last there. We were a bit pushed for time as we were heading to Wembley - we told our waitress this so we could get our food ASAP and our orders came out really quickly. Three of us had steaks (all cooked exactly as we ordered them) and my partner went for one the meatloaf on the specials menu, which was also really good. We didn't have time for pud so we split a sharing plate between us... still left us enough time to head to The Crown Pub next door for a quick drink before heading to the gig. Will defintely be back!

We had a good time in the restaurant but the manager lady seemed very stressed when it was not busy at all. The food was excellent.

Absolutely terrible! Having travelled a long way out of our way to eat at the King Sitric, the experience was a massive disappointment. Where to begin... We were largely ignored when we arrived even though the restaurant was very quiet. When we were eventually taken to our table, service was painful in every way. Our table was booked for 8.30 and our starters arrived at 10.15pm. Several of our menu choices were not available (the waiter rallied backward and forward to the kitchen to bring us this news piecemeal). One starter was wrong, it was too much trouble to rectify this so it was reluctantly removed from the bill without replacement. The steaks were chewy and over priced, the chips portion was fairly mean (go to the Gaucho instead!). It was very late and very empty by the time we left - we'd considered leaving several times during the meal (Cricklewood didn't have many alternatives at that time of night). None of the staff made any attempt to salvage our evening. Having asked for some token gesture to make up for the farce we'd experienced e.g. a bottle of house champagne, we were told it was not possible. Reluctantly, service and 10% were removed from the bill. It was too little too late, and still far too much to pay for the shambolic service and poor food. A right royal disappointment.

Visited on Patricks Day as a treat and advised by the website London Ahoy as a great place to visit on St. Pats day, but you would never have know we were in a restaurant with Irish connections - not so much as a green balloon. Arrived for 6.30pm start - staff very good and attentive. Speical Irish menu for the past 7 days or so was given to us. During our starter four members of staff came and asked if we were enjoying meal - annoying but after that no one! My husband's dessert was served, and 20 minutes later when we could get hold of a waiter I got a very dry unappetising plate of cheese and biscuits most of which I left. Another 30 minutes went by before we could get someone to bring our bill. When the chap did he produced a card asking me to fill in, get 10% off the meal, and I would be joining their "club". Another 30 minutes went by and he did not return we ended up calling a waitress who after another 10 minutes produced a credit card machine. No 10% was taken off, and to be honest we could not wait around any longer as now had been in restaurant over 3 hours. Food apart from my dessert was varied and excellent. Staff could cope when not many people around but after that they seemed to struggle. Disappointed that there was no Irish atmostphere!

One must say that one found this restaurant apsolutely fantastical, the service was amazing and the food impeccable, there was a kornicopia of choices from the menu this i found particularily apealing

Exceptionally disappointed with the food. Limited menu. Described as the 'best of the lamb' I was served with a slightly seared rack of lamb which turned out to be very rare in the middle and was accompanied by a very stodgy risotto and heavily covered in bread crumbs. When I asked for the lamb to be cooked to medium rare, I was informed that this was the way it should be served. Not great cuterom service. Would not go here again

Twas a cold, dark, wintry Sunday evening in November, when we stumbled across this "Irish Oasis". A lovely, spacious, well designed restaurant that served "posh Irish food" which was hearty and good value for money.

The service was excellent and it was a bonus to get our wine poured when needed(not many eateries do that).So if youre looking for Irish cuisine with a stylistic twist,King Sitric is where its at! A charmed, N.Irish resident of brondesbury Park.
