Just had a brilliant meal here. The £10 for starter and main course really is great value - the portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh and not cheap and there is plenty of choice.
The waiters were very professional and also warm, welcoming and not at all pushy. Really good. The decor is clean-looking and smart enough, if not particularly exciting-looking and the tables are nicely spaced with comfy, generous-sized seats. I liked the music selection - and the volume.
I was at a loss as to why the place was not packed, but we just counted ourselves very lucky.
My moules marinieres were huge and succulent - they looked like some gastro porn photo, with a gorgeous thick sauce. Portion size was good, particularly considering it was a starter.
I then had balsamic chicken salad. Masses of suitably-marinaded succulent white meat with a nice salad.
My companion's lamb was buttery soft with a subtly piquant sauce.
Oh, finally, a nice free limencello digestif at the end.
