We eat here often and love the food, the service is basic, but i'm not fussy as the food arrives hot and in under 15 mins everytime, the Salmon with roasted chillies is a must when visiting!

I do think that the service charge is a little bit cheeky especially when we eat here twice a week, we would leave a tip once a week and they would maybe get more than what they charge us! i like to make my own mind up about the service i pay!

Used to be a regular haunt due to the good value and quality of the cooking. I agree with a number of reviewers here, that the service has deteriorated considerably. So much so, that it mars the overall experience - especially when they include the service charge in the bill.

If you haven't been here, try it!

It is not only fast service and delicious food.. its reasonably priced too! I work in Ealing so it's a ritual on Fridays to pop in and choose from there massive lunch menu for a treat. I would recommend the sweet and sour pork with coconut rice or the 'sen mee ped' duck and spring onion noodles. The prawn toast starter is yummy too.

I have lived in London for well over 5 years. I loved every single dish which this restaurant provided and it became a weekly ritual to have dinner at this restaurant. Well done to the team at Silom and all the best.

Very very disappointing. I have eaten at this restaurant before but after eating there last week I will never go again. I ordered a panang chicken curry, the quality of the meat was poor, the sauce was thin and watery and my friends meal was supposed to have seafood in it and there were about 3 bits of seafood which were overcooked, We complained and got nowhere. The restaurant was busy so I think that they have just got to the stage where they are just serving in volume and not worrying about quality and hoping no one complains. If you want good Thai food in the area, go to Thai Cafe in Hanwell much much better and the customer service is excellent!

We visited Sunday lunch time and shared 10 courses between the two of us. The food was delicious with some courses, most notably the fisherman's pie, and the pork belly particularly standing out - they were both outstanding!

I was disappointed by the quality and lack of service, however, which was completely inconsistent and unpolished - not what you'd expect from a Michelin star establishment where you're paying a significant amount per head.

Our welcome was fine and service seemed to start off well but got worse during our time there. We had several waiters, some were very good - friendly and knowledgeable, others came across as surly and inattentive. Our desserts appeared to have been forgotten about although the restaurant did apologise for the delay which wouldn't have bothered us had it not been for a 45 hour wait for the bill which we had to ask for 3 times. I could understand if the place was full but it was half empty. The staff seemed to become flustered and more miserable as the lunch service went on which I didn't really understand as the place wasn't busy at all and they have so many people working there.

The lack of service really marred my experience which was a shame as the food was so good. Maybe it was because it was during lunch rather than dinner and it was a Sunday? Who knows.

The restaurant itself is fine, quite basic with tables very close together but functional and modern.

Would love to go back for the food and would definitely recommend the restaurant on that basis providing that you're not expecting great service despite supposedly paying 12.5% for it......

Well, I am most definately a foody. Thai food is one of my absolute favourites, and having spent so much time and money in various classy Thai restaurants in and around London, I still feel that Silom tastes far better than any Thai restaurant I have eaten at. Don't get me wrong, I have been to some delightful Thai restaurants. But some are quite far and only ever worth going to with an offer (i.e. 50% off total bills). Ok, so their service is non existent. But, it really doesn't bother me for the money you pay and the scrumptious food you order which comes out within 15 minutes. I think some of us can be a little too fussy with aspects of dining when really, if only every restaurant focused on the taste and quality of their food, I'd be back every time. So, even though the male manager does look a little moody at times, I'll be going to eat there tonight and cannot wait to order loads!
