I've been to this place due to all the great reviews on the site. I live in Ealing so that's a plus..why? The food is delightful!..I've eaten Thai in many places and it's my favourite cuisine, but going here is something else, the food tastes so original (I've never been Thailand), packed with flavour, and the largest portions I've seen for the price. It's hard work finishing the meal due to the sheer size. I should be going tonight, I'll be trying the prawn dish the person below has recommended and maybe I'll update again.

Bottom line, recommended, love it!

my friends and I come here at least once a month and completely gorge on an enormous feast with soups, more starters, mains, thai salads and a constant supply of Singha beers, and rarely manage to spend more than £25 a head.

several of us have been to Thailand, this is authentic and just wonderfully tasty.

be brave and try the goong chae nam pla (I think), otherwise known as 'the prawns of doom' - raw king prawns marinated in lime juice and topped with raw garlic and red chilli, painful but worth it!

What a find! Doesn't look much from the outside but a completely different story on the inside - a hidden gem!

Excellent service, fantastic food, brilliant value - can't wait to go back.

I used to go to Silom often for the fabulously tastey and cheap food. Unfortunately the chef changed and things haven't been the same. The main difference is the sliminess of many of the dishes.

The flavours were always strong and you got exactly what was described on the menu but this has changed a little and the balance of flavours aren't as consistant. As a new customer, you may not feel the same and I would still recommend Silom Village. The staff are friendly and accomodating and you can't go wrong if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful Thai.

Price is immaterial when food is this authentic and this good. However, this is excellent and right next to where I live.

btw My family (not me) are Indian vegetarian who grew up in Bombay and are used to superb vegetarian food. Even with their high standards, they thought this place was absolutely superb.

Silom Village is absolutely brilliant. Ignore the whining Vegetarian. Go to a Veggie restaurant if you don't eat meat!

Vegetarian options are very unimaginative - just substituting generic vegetables/tofu for meat - and very little effort is put into them. It's so cheap that you don't really mind that but, if you are vegetarian, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to eat here.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time last night. All I can say is that it was absolutely excellent. Not just superb value for money, but superb full stop. The missus’ Pad Thai was spot on, and my chilli beef was delicious. But the absolute star of the show was the Tom Yam soup, which had the most deliciously intense flavour of any such soup that I have ever tasted. As an extra bonus, it didn’t contain any floating pieces of galangal and lemon grass (good for flavour, bad for biting into).

The service is also sweet and efficient and the general atmosphere is pleasantly bustley.

I will most certainly become a regular of this place, and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Food is absolutely lovely. Have tried the chicken with cashew nuts dish and the lamb curry and neither have disappointed. Also went for the fried banana and icecream dish. That was divine. Staff are very friendly. Definitely the place to eat in Ealing!!!

By some distance the best Thai restaurant I've been to in London. I've not been to Thailand, but of my friends who have, all say it's the nearest thing you are going to get to authentic Thai food in this country. Always consistent, always cheap, always excellent!
