Drones

What a fantastic restaurant!! I booked for my girlfriend and I to come for dinner with another couple and we really had the most wonderful evening. I was particularly worried about coming after several bad experiences with restaurants recently.

However this was great food, simple but delicious - and the staff are just attentive enough but not enough that it becomes annoying! The General Manager, a chap called Khaled is particularly charming and really looked after us well and also made some great wine recommendations.

The last time I visited Drones for Sunday lunch I was somewaht disappointed. But last night what a different story - excellent service and a superb main course of bouef en croute accompanied by celeriac mash and runner beans. The wines we chose by the glass were excellent too - a chablis at just the right temperature and a good merlot.

Well done to everyone at Drones I shall be back soon
